Oh you guys! :D Thank you! I'm sorry I missed it this morning....I hate this new forum setup!

I would stick with what your fitbit says and see how your results are from there. If you start logging the exercise on MFP as well you may end up in a situation where you are kind of double logging and MFP tells you that you have way more calories than you actually do and you end up overeating and not losing. Try out the…

For squats, also make sure you are getting to a decent depth (at least parallel) but as others have mentioned....squats, deads, thrusts, glute bridges, lunges, step-ups are all awesome for glute activation. I don't feel my glutes activated as much with squats eithers, but thrusts and deads (especially American deadlifts)…

As mentioned above, you can do a split and go most days or if you prefer to do full body, go 4 days/week and then do some other form of activity on the other days. Cardio, yoga, etc. You should really aim to take one rest day/week though, at least.

Squats, deads, /glute bridges/hip thrusts and also single leg work. So things like lunges, split squats, dumbbell step ups, skater squats, single leg glute bridges/hip thrusts. Good mornings and back extensions also do great things for the posterior chain.

I expect you to offer spanks on the reg.

Why you so mean?

Yes, that all makes a lot of sense....thanks Patrick! I think I will ease into it be going to about a 10% deficit for a bit, see what happens with that and then go from there. The 6x/week strength is just for this 30 day challenge, it's a program designed by Bret Contreras, and while it's challenging, it's really not too…

Came in excited and now.....So. Disappoint. But nice work OP, 6" is a very nice loss. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Patrick! 1. Yes, I'm still in a deficit now and have been running, quite frankly, a very aggressive deficit for months now. I maintained AT LEAST a 500 calorie/day deficit (sometimes closer to 1200/day) while half marathon training and I did that for 19 weeks. For the first 11 weeks I was also still doing strength…

Thanks McD :blushing: :blushing: :flowerforyou: Unfortunately no one would really like to see these thighs running in shorts (or these bottoms for that matter)....I'm not quite there yet    I pretty much look good standing still or laying down.....there is still some jiggle with my wiggle

I heard OP was looking for gap and juicy thighs. I really can't think of a better place for me....well....besides the booty threads but hey, that's for a different day. Plus I haven't attention-whored in quite some time and I'm bored. To me, my gap does not at all signify some trendy "thing" that men have decided they like…

The lower body lifts are glute bridges/hip thrusts, squats, and deadlifts. Then there are variations of those same lifts. There is a guide in the back that gives instructions on how to perform every exercise. I don't know how else you would like it summed up, to be honest. Are you new to lifting? If so I would suggest that…

There is no need to eliminate anything from your diet. Weigh/measure it. Log it. And move on. You can fit most things into your calorie goals. When I first started I knew what my "triggers" were. One being that I LOVE to have a snack at night after my kid goes to bed and I'm relaxing. So I left calories for that snack. I…

How quickly some people forget what it's like to start making changes. Either that or they just lack any sense and manners. I'm guessing it's the latter. OP you have gotten some great advice here. I would also suggest reading some of the stickied threads to give you a little bit of further guidance and begin to educate…

+1 If you have to ask if a diet plan is "safe" chances are it's not.

I can't stop running my finger along your V either. Oh *cough* ummmm I mean..... I don't think there is much of the day when I don't touch myself and also check myself out in any and all mirrors. I actually just made a status the other day about how every time I go to the bathroom I check out my booty. I mean, just in case…

I'm sorry this has happened to you :( I won't go into details here because I already shared my story with you so feel free to PM me if you like. I did want to post though because I know how frustrating this is and I completely understand where you're at  :flowerforyou:

So much fun! Thanks for sharing!

Palazzo pants     Different styles suit different body types. I can seriously rock a pair of skinny jeans and I know many others that can too. Confidence speaks volumes

Great revelation and yes, you are completely right. One day in 5 weeks is not going to ruin you. You have to live your life too and every now and again it's find to indulge yourself. It's taken me 3 years to get 70+lbs off because I have committed to the process and not tried to demonize food groups of starve myself. It's…

Buy the smallest size available. Log the chocolate. Eat the darned chocolate. As long as you are in a deficit you will lose. You don't have to give up everything you love.
-
What? That is ridiculous. If you want a piece of fruit, log it and account for it and eat the darn fruit.
-
Bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, fruit, oatmeal. Lot's of great things you can put with all that protein to up your carbs.
-
Because you have been. Try hitting your calorie goal. Weigh, measure and log everything.

Happy Birthday :)

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/hips-dont-lie-3-drills-to-nail-hip-hinge.html Getting the hip hinge down is a great step towards having great form for squats. You can also do a box squat. You have super long legs and this will absolutely affect how you squat. Every body is different and it's not a one size fits all…

Soooooo much of this ^^^^^ No wonder people are so scared to lose weight. You don't HAVE to give up anything. It doesn't HAVE to be complicated and you don't HAVE to starve. Is there some trial and error? Yes. Do you have to step outside your comfort zone? Yes. Do you have to change some habits? Yes. But ultimately you…

Pork, eggs, and tuna are also great sources of protein. I try very hard to stick to a budget for groceries because I find it easy to get carried away and pork always tends to be a great option.....chops or tenderloin.
