Got my blood sugar down from 7.4 to 6.6 in one month through diet and exercise!

I want to walk the Camino de Santiago!
-
SEnding you a request! Need some friends to join me on this bumpy ride too!

I'm 54 and trying to lose 70 lbs. I lost 50 in 2012 but gained it all back plus an extra 20. A slow process as I am eating 1400 calories a day. But if I feel deprived I'll fall off the diet wagon. So I'm OK if it takes a bit longer. Anyone looking for a new friend? Feel free to send me a friend request.

Your husband is not a kind and caring man. He has toyed with your self esteem to the point where you don't think you are worthy of someone and will always be alone. You will not be, because you are a good person with morals and values, both of which he seems to be lacking. If you are so terrible, why doesn't he leave?…

I'm back too after a long hiatus. Let's connect.

A cold glass of Wolf Blass Chardonnay or Oyster Bay SB or Kim Crawford SB - definitely worth the extra workout time.
-
LOL Maggie, that was for FarburnFred who seems to like those cold water swims! Here's one for you: http://www.swimrace.com/
-
Maybe you should try this swim. I suggested it to SwimtotheEnd but he bailed. http://www.thingvallasund.com/

I swim laps freestyle and do a km in about 21 minutes, burn 200 calories (according to my garmin swim watch) and that is just a little more than moderate pace for my weight (I'm 5'4" and 150lbs.). I usually put it as moderate but adjust the calories up a bit to match what my watch says.

Brilliant Zerryz! I relate to many of those as well. Thanks for making my day. You, Swim, Tricia and Maggie have pulled together a super fantastic post!! Funny, serious and oh so true. Love you guys <3

Feel free to add me too- fellow Canadaian, but not from beautiful BC : (
-
One more to add: You know you are a swimmer when your conditioner always runs out before your shampoo. Happened to me again today in my after swim shower!
-
Another great post Swim! I am certainly guilty of a few of those, although I will not admit to which ones! Thanks for the laugh, again!
-
lol B&B - it`s funny to think about if nothing else!
-
Ok, this is a totally rediculous answer, but good for a laugh when all the IEP stuff wares you down. http://www.mostlytruestuff.com/2012/11/ways-to-make-your-next-iep-awesome.html?showComment=1353289893747

I swim in a 25m pool. I don't like the sweating thing either.
-
Great effort = great results! That is just awesome! Keep it up! I try to swim 15km a week, 3-4 km per swim (1 km = 40 laps). I've done up to 6 km per swim, but don't do that often!! I am just starting a strength training program as well. 50lbs down, 15 to go. Then maintenance and toning. :)
-
110 miles in 8 weeks is a lot of swimming! Great job! How many times a week and how far each swim? What do you mean by your last sentence - your goal for the year is 4 lengths...?
-
You can add me - I've got all the Starbucks locations programmed into my GPS so if there it one nearby it notifies me (plays a trumpet fanfare!!). That way I never miss an opportunity.
-
OMG, I am splitting a gut. You are way too funny zerryz. These are the reasons I changed pools where I live - too many olds driving me nuts. Yes, I'd rather deal with bullies and pervs.
-
This just makes me sad. That person needs some serious help, and fast.
-
Hardly. With this particular guy today, I think it was more about him than me. Infact, I think he only swims for one reason - to watch the women - it is actually kind of creepy.
-
One more to add - I hate it when an old guy follows steadily behind you lap after lap so he can stare at your cleavage each time you push off the wall, and then blatently continues to check you out as you swim by. Every lap. If you're Ryan Lochte the above does not apply.
