A week or two ago, I posted a topic "Stage 2 Results". It shows my progress from day 1 up until the end of Stage 2. I am fairly happen with it so far. I really think people need to eat enough and clean up their diet if they want really great results. That's just my opinion on it though (: I hope New Rules works well for…

I was NOT fit before starting this. I was about 200lbs. I had only done light "barbie" lifting before (as the book calls it). I am not thaaat fit yet either, but the book has massively improved my strength and confidence. I am losing fat (the scale may not move much, it hasn't for me) and my body is starting to really firm…

Hell yes. Way to rock that $#!T. Being strong and powerful is the way to be. Congrats on the compliments. To impress those regular crazy lifter guys is awesome. (:

Thanks! I am loving the way my back and arms look. I will not lie, I am constantly flexing. (:

I do cardio and yoga on the days I feel up to it. I lift 3x a week: tuesday, thursday, and sunday. Some days I end up lifting, doing cardio, and some yoga. Some weeks I don't have a rest day because I do all three on different days. Always listen to your body. It'll let you know what works best (:

I did a 10-15% cut of my TDEE for stage 1 and I am on a 15% cut for stage 2. I will for 7-10 days after stage 2 eat at my TDEE (so it will seep into the beginning of stage 3). But, personally, I like doing a 10-15% cut. I never feel super hungry, I usually have some cals left over!

You look fit and great! I wish stage 1 left me looking fab like that, lol.

Wow, awesome sneak peek. Really nice back situation right there, lol.

I lift weights (New Rules of Lifting for Women) 2-3x a week. I do yoga 1-2x a week, and I do a hiit or kickboxing workout 1-3x a week. I run 4x a week.

Thank you! I have been grooving on my calves. Flexing whenever I am not in jeans, haha. Hubby said the same thing about distance, so I getcha. For my stage 2 results I will make sure to try and keep the distance similar so I can tell better. And again, thanks for the kind words (:

I usually go for miles, not time. My average run is between 3-5 miles and my long run is between 6-10, depending.

When id go down in my step ups I would place my foot all the way down on the ground instead of making the foot on the bench do all the work. I have no idea if I explained it right, sorry lol.

Just finished stage 1 on Tuesday and i'm sending a request your way. GOOD LUCK! (:

I'm not always clear on explaining things but I am going to give this a go! (lol) The workouts are 8 As and 8 Bs for a total of sixteen. (in Stage 1) So you would do 1A, then 1B, then 2A, then 2B. I lifted 3x a week. (The book says no more than 3x a week but no less than 2x) Since you are doing so much already, I would…

I use a mixture of protein bars, protein powders and tuna to really boost my protein numbers. I go with pure protein products. I have found that the carbs aren't killer and the protein is on the higher end. They also taste really good! Good luck (:

Thanks y'all. I was curious if my pictures showed that much of a difference. LOL. Some times it is hard to see on yourself, isn't it?

Thanks ladies!

For me, it is about doing something that I never thought I could do before. I love when I reach new milestones and when I surpass my expectations. I use music to keep running enjoyable. Also, running is a stress-release for me and I am a very stressful person. But, we are all different, so if you don't find running…

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies. I'll take 1 week off and see how it goes. (:

I use a barbell for lunges. I do split-leg lunges because it's easier on my knees and my form is better that way.
-
I'd suggest to do wrist curls, take an extra 30 seconds to rest your hands, or use a barbell. I have issues with my wrist a lot, and I do the first two suggestions. I hope your wrist hurt less (:

Holy smokes, that is truly inspirational!

it is pretty stupid for her to unfriend you because of that. but you are right (:

I am supposed to be in stability shoes. I was fitted for the Inspire 7s. That's why I got the 8s a few days ago. I did not wear them until my 7.4 run, which looking back may have been foolish. I also am never changing my running mechanics again. I should have stuck to what was working. At first, I only felt the pain on my…

Request sent, and thanks to the ones that sent request my way. Can't wait to become strong and lady buff! (:

I do my workouts at home and sometimes I do not alternate simply because I forget. I have found that when I alternate I push through each set of reps better though. (:

I honestly think that you have set yourself with too many carbs. When I trained for my first half last fall, I set my macros at 50% carbs, 25% protein, and 25% fat. I am now training for a full marathon. I am in the middle of week 7 (out of an 18-week training) and my mileage is about 25-30 miles a week now. I have find…

I don't really weigh-in. i'm currently a very tight size 12 and by Halloween I would love to be a size 10 or a size 8.

Hi, my name is Heather Eloise. I am more of a runner, but I have always loved lifting weights and once I heard about this book I had to give it a shot. I start stage 1 on Tuesday (I have to make it correspond with my marathon training) and I couldn't be more excited. I'm a student, wife, and mother to a wonderful little 2…
