Seeing a photo on a website of me doing a 10k run in central London. My thighs were enormous and then it hit me that I had been burying my head in the sand and needed to lose weight.

You have diastasis recti probably. Please do NOT do sit ups, they can make it worse. After I had my 10lb 15oz baby, I had the muscle separation and had to see a physiotherapist for six weeks and she gave me some exercises to do. She categorically told me not to do sit ups as they exacerbate the problem. Google diastasis…

Use digital kitchen scales to weigh everything accurately.

Yes, I put it down as circuit training, general. Similar figures, 20 minutes, 172 calories burnt. Hope this helps

I know what you mean. I have been maintaining for just four weeks and, like you, I was scared initially of putting weight back on. I lost very easily at 1280 per day (20 lbs) since June and am now on 1770. I am 5 ft 7 in and weigh 136. However, I have lost a pound over the last four weeks so need to increase my daily…

Good for you. I haven't eaten chocolate since I joined MFP in June and, whilst I do think about it, I certainly don't crave it any more. Good on you for passing it up!

For me, it is connected to exercise. if I ask my body to run 5 miles, I feel like I should fuel it properly afterwards otherwise how can I expect it to perform for me next time if I fill it full of rubbish? It certainly takes times but it is worth it.

I can speak fluently backwards - discovered I could do it at the age of 5. Not much use other than a good party trick!!

I tripped on a pavement slab, fell @ss over t!t and needed 5 stitches in my knee! That is the short version!!

Yes, excessive exercise can stop your periods. It is called amenorrhoea.
