Firstly, good for you for finally deciding to face your demons and go!!! I have been to several gyms and places that run classes and firstly let me say that most of them are very friendly and the staff/other participants are usually very helpful. If they are not then your at the wrong place, and need to find somewhere that…

My advice would be to ask if he has any specific diet requirements, especially as there is the diabetes issue as well. I don't have any problems with food as long as I'm not having a flare up, people vary :-)

I don't use it, but I'm interested in whether it is any good or not. Can you please tell us what it's like? Are there any strength types exercises?

I love bread too, but totally blame it for my weight problem. I had to reduce my intake considerably to loss weight. I do have bread though - always Granary or Wholemeal - things like rolls are good, decent size for about 200 cals. Smaller sized loaves - all the main brands do them and are around 90 cals a slice. English…

Xbox with kinect is definately the best option. Great for normal games, and by far the best for fitness games!!

I just let the fitbit track my movements during the day, and it syncs with MFP automatically. You can override it, but I don't bother .... it works for me OK doing it automatically. You will see that you get extra cals added as 'exercise' without logging anything - as long as you are moving about a lot of course!! There is…

In my opinion Wii Fit is rubbish and not worth the money. It's fun, but not a serious tool for weight loss. Zumba is good, but get the later version which has much improved on the first. But it's even better on xbox as you don't have to hold/wear the controller!! No pics, but lost over 50lbs between Jan and August 2011…

Hi, I'm Wendy and love reading! Read most days when I go to bed. Just finished Stolen by Lesley Pearse ....

Hi there friend, I have had one since Jan, and love it. Any questions feel free to PM me ...... As for the few things you mentioned: 1. It syncs with MFP, so you log your food in MFP and it transfers over to Fitbit automatically - this does away with the food database issue in Fitbit. 2. You wear it all day (and night if…
