maybe you can get one hrm with chest strap included, and then order just an extra chest strap online for your husband to use. polar has that option

you should never eat below 1200 net calories a day. If you do for a longer period of time you will get sick, and your metabolism is going to slow down. So because you already don't weigh that much you should not aim to lose more than half pound per week.

thank you guys. I keep track of calories lost through my polar FT4. So far it's been pretty accurate. I also do write down everything I eat, even fruit and oil i cook in etc. My rule is if I don't know how many calories it has I don't eat it.

you have probably hit a plateau. From what I have read if you hit a weight loss plateau it helps to go back and eat at your maintenance calories for 2 weeks and then go back to deficit again after that. Also switch up to different work outs, and incorporate weight lifting into your routine.

oh great, that's good to know. I am just going to continue doing what i have been doing so far with logging, and just do the work outs. I do have a chest strap HRM and it has been pretty accurate so far. Thank you both for your feedback

I eat them because if I didn't I would be netting below 1200 calories a day, which is not good. I do exercise 6 days most weeks for an hour each day and during that hour i burn anywhere between 500-600 calories. And yes I do exercise on that day.

I bought my Polar F4 at Target. It was decent price, plus if you get a target debit card you get 5% off all your purchases. I really like it. it has helped me a lot since I started doing this.

I notice that I feel much better, and my stomach is a little smaller, I have not taken my measurements yet I will do that later on today. IT's just very discouraging to see that scale number go up when I have been working so hard.

I do it, just don't go way over board. For example when we go out if I crave a hamburger I will get it, and I will either just eat the hamburger by itself or half the burger and some fries.
