  • Agreed the app helps keep you going every day, especially when you can't find the time to sit down at the computer!
  • First she needs to make the decision like you did - it is essential to be committed or you fail. You have made a decision to a lifestyle change and she has not. I agree with "JMO325" you can still have a little something off track as long as it is not "pigging out" and within moderation without jeopardizing what you have…
  • Here is a suggestion, don't call it a diet - call it a lifestyle change. I agree with "Eandrus" the mobile app is great! My method is 1-2 lbs a week - slow and easy - as there are no silver bullets to overnight weight loss that is going to stay off. Eating healthy, exercise and I agree that some people need "helpers" so I…
  • Best thing both of you could do, going a 1-2 lb lost a week. I recommend that you not call it a diet but a lifestyle change. Because in all truth, once you start this path you cannot go back to the way you were eating/exercise again without starting to gain weight back; and starting the cycle over again.Congrats on you…
  • I think that going astray once in a while is normal and a must! :)
  • I would be interested to know as well, I have both knees in the same state, thanks!
  • I have a secret weapon for sugar cravings; I use Qivana Resist to stave off the need for sugar. Resist is an all-natural tablet based on an Indian herb that temporarily blocks your sugar receptors and helps repress sweet tooth cravings for up to two hours. But the herb also takes it a step further by blocking the sugar…

  • Cooked oatmeal (ahead of time or microwave), yogurt, fruit, Qivana Metaboliq shake (chocolate, vanilla ~ strawberry or pumpkin spice add-in to vanilla), Qivana protein stick, the possibilities are endless if you make it ahead of time. :)

  • I really try to stick with not eating after 8-9pm ~ whether I have calories or not.
  • I was previously weighing in on Sunday, but now I have joined the group here on MFP wanting to lose 30 lbs by xmas. So the new weigh in day is Monday. However, I couldn't stand it, I just needed to know this morning so I weighed in early and was pleasantly surprised!
  • QUOTE: From what I see, the majority of you that have replied are about what 20-30's? It will be easier for you to lose weight with just healthy eating and exercise. Well, I started my "get fit" journey at age 52. And I didn't really exercise much before that...not regularly. Now I'm exercising all the time because it…
  • Elitist or not ~ does it matter? Open minds matter. I have been heavy all of my life and I have tried just healthy eating and exercise ~ but that does not always do it alone, everyone is different. From what I see, the majority of you that have replied are about what 20-30's? It will be easier for you to lose weight with…
  • Chipotle's Chicken Fajita Bowl! With lots of guac, cheese and sour cream!
  • It is my understanding that protein helps jump start your metabolism, so if you have a low meta you will probably want higher protein levels.
  • Welcome and I hope you achieve your goals!
  • I recommend Qivana shakes, they leave no aftertaste, have Stevia as a sweetener, and are all natural with high protein. I am currently using them and again recommend them highly!
  • If you are worried about artificial sweeteners in protein shakes. Qivana shakes use Stevia, which is a natural sugar.
  • I am using Qivana shakes, which are all natural and are great tasting as well.
  • I am using Qivana, and I swear by them. If interested, let me know.:glasses:
  • I swear by Qivana!

  • My sister was a 4 shot a day insulin taker, she started drinking Qivana shakes and is now down to 2 shots a day with the dose decreased. She definitely doesn't want to lose weight but with Qivana shakes, which are all natural, there are other health benefits. I currently use the shakes for weight loss and they are working!

  • I, too, drink Qivana protein shakes w/fat free milk that usually keep me satisfied for 3-4 hours. One note, with protein shakes you have to drink lots of water as well.
