  • I want in, a bit late to the party but I'll enter my weight from 2/1 and post going forward! I'm Heather, 46 years old and I was in the best shape of my life a few years ago while going through and amicable divorce and got down to 128 which looking back was two low. Fast forward to now and I've gained back about 30 pounds…

Work out at least 5 days per week (2 Zumba classes, and the other 3 days running on treadmill or doing the elliptical) 2. Mileage goal: at least 10 miles per week running/elliptical 3. Take my lunch to…
  • Awesome--thanks for that link, it makes me feel better!!! I may swing for a fitbit at some point, but for now I'll be happy if I reach 50 miles with just counting my running and elliptical mileage for the month. It looks like quite a few other people are just tracking workout mileage so I won't feel alone!! Can't wait to…

  • Hello!!! I am so excited that I found this group, I really need a kick start! My goals are as follows: Goals this month: 1. Work out at least 5 days per week (2 Zumba classes, and the other 3 days running on treadmill or doing the elliptical) 2. Mileage goal: at least 10 miles per week running/elliptical 3. Take my lunch…
  • Can't wait to start this challenge! I'm going to go ahead and respond so I can find the thread easily on 2/1 to update my starting weight and challenge goal weight  SW: CW: Challenge GW: Ultimate GW: 135 --> this is my goal weight by 7/1/14 Goals this month: 1. Work out at least 5 days per week (2 Zumba classes, and…
  • Oooh!!! I want in on this too!!! Will check back on 2/1.
  • Thanks! I'm not trying to do something that is necessarily "easy", but I don't intend to focus all my workouts on mileage. Cross training is good for the body, and Zumba is awesome--I can burn almost 700 calories in an hour! So my question was basically whether or not everyone reaches 150 miles in a month, because with my…
  • 1/2: 3 mile treadmill run 1/3: 3 miles elliptical 1/12: 4 mile treadmill run 1/17: 3 mile treadmill run 1/25: 5 mile treadmill run 1/26: 3 mile treadmill run Total: 21 miles
  • This sounds like just what I need, excited to join! Do you guys really make the target of 150 miles per month?? I'm thinking that I can count my elliptical (it tracks miles) in addition to running, but the days I do zumba (twice per week) I don't do anything else, so I won't be able to do 150 miles--with my current regimen…
  • ***Another new member here**** By the first of June I WILL lose another 20 pounds. My 20th high school reunion is at the end of June, and I am ready to get these pounds off! BTW--is this challenge going to have a weekly weigh-in thread? I find that tracking weight loss is the best way to keep me motivated and on track!
  • 1/2: 3 mile treadmill run 1/3: 3 miles elliptical 1/12: 4 mile treadmill run 1/17: 3 mile treadmill run Total: 13 miles Too many things in the way of logging the mileage! If I counted all the mileage leisurely walking around shopping and also skiing on my vacation this past week then I might be closer, but oh well! Still…
  • I've been pretty lame with the mileage due to the cold I'm fighting currently and also because of my love affair with Zumba! 1/2: 3 mile treadmill run 1/3: 3 miles elliptical 1/12: 4 mile treadmill run Total: 10 miles I better kick it into high gear to get the other 20 miles in before the end of the month!!!
  • It isn't creativity, you smarta$$!! My fancy elliptical tracks rotations per minute as well as total mileage covered!! So there!
  • Oh, I like this challenge! Thanks for starting this, Ashley! 1/2 was 3 mile treadmill run 1/3 was 3 miles on elliptical Six miles down, 24 to go! Hope to get in about 6-10 miles per week.
  • Hello all! My check ins have been very infrequent due to my crazy busy schedule lately. So excited to have the next four days off, just have to make it through the rest of the day!!! My workouts since last check in have been decent. I ran 3 miles Sunday and did Zumba Monday night and burned a ton of calories. Worked late…
  • Hey all! I've been super crazy busy and haven't had time to check in, but finally have a free second. It's great to have an organized challenge to get me back on track with my eating--the exercising has not really been a problem but the eating and drinking have been crazy!! Day 1 was a success for me, came in under…
  • I'm glad that I stumbled upon this group! My name is Heather, and I am a very busy mom of two, working full time (50-60 hours/wk) in healthcare. Hubby stays home with my kids (4 1/2 and 19 mo). My weight loss efforts have STALLED despite me staying relatively active--mainly because my eating lately has been terrible! As…
  • Wow, amazing job! What an inspiration!
  • What a great goal! Feel free to add me for support. :)
  • Amazing results, congrats!!!
  • I would not lift if I were you until you had that MRI. A herniated disc in the thoracic region can be a big deal. Take it easy until you get the results back. If you notice weakness in your legs or problems going to the bathroom you need to seek immediate treatment.
