4m3li4: You are doing great on this program! I am concerned that you are eliminating your WU and CD though. Cool down gives your body time to bring down your heart rate. If you just stop suddenly, your heart is still pumping away...it's not a healthy choice. Warm up is just as good for you... helping eliminate possible…

SEE YOUR DOCTOR! If you have hypo, I'm sure you have an internist. The Dr can refer you to a nutritionist. Share with the nutritionist what your goals are, that you are doing C25K, and share MFP and how it works...they don't all know about it yet. The nutritionist can help you put all the p  arts together in a…

SO GLAD to hear this right now... last night I looked back to see when I started C25K. It's the first time I even considered measuring progress by looking back.... I have, to date, only looked forward to see how many weeks I have left to finish. BIG SHOCK when I found that it has taken me 17 weeks and I'm beginning week 7.…

ROCK ON! Are you planning ahead for a 10K?
-
That's fantastic! Congrats. What did you do the week between finishing C25K and your completed 5K? Did you still run every other day? Pushing, Pushing to see how far you could run? And you still have time to keep working on it. But 35 min is spectacular!

Amanda - I'm in the same boat as you. Thanks for posting. Rduhlir - I don't mind crowds at other events but how does a large crowd affect a newbie in a 5K? I don't know if I will like crowds or not at this point.

completed W6D3 (22 min run) - As I finished the run, the neighbor at that house was having a yard sale and had a couple people in the yard. They all commented that they "wish I could do that...but/but/but".... I just told them if I can do it THEY CAN! Maybe I will inspire them!

I TREAT myself with a glass or two when I have eaten well AND excercised that day. In this case, I have plenty of calories to spend on some wine and it's a treat... not with dinner. MEASURE, MEASURE, MEASURE.

and when child becomes teen.... WOW. Control was an illusion that you that you can't even remember.

what app is this?

W6D2 completed this morning before 6am. I am NOT a morning person. I had to get up an hour early.... could not fit in 30 minutes any other time today. But I enjoyed this run best so far. The sky was twinkling with the most stars I have ever seen, no cars, only a couple neighbors on their porches having morning java and…

You are ROCKIN! I'm midway through C25K and I LOVE seeing updates from C210K folks. It gives me motivation. Thanks for sharing.

why isn't this pinned to the top of the board?
-
YUP! Probably more the case for me too... I'm still in the euphoric stage

I'm on Week6Day2 - my advice, having recently been where you are and not yet crossed all my upcoming milestones, is DON'T LOOK AHEAD. Don't even look on that day. I just click START and never look back at the app until I hear "Cool Down". I do what the lady says...I run when she says run and I walk when she finally says…

Great job everyone! I love reading everyone's experiences, trials and successes. Y'all keep me motivated! THANKS! I'm back after a 3 week hiatus....doctor ordered some tests. Rec'd "NO RESTRICTIONS" order. Woot! I really missed C25K. I had completed W5D1 when I was sidelined. After 3 weeks of just walking 3 days a week, I…

Congrats! How was it? How was it different than running a regular 5K? Had you been running on trails to get ready?
-
YEAH! Goals met! Now set new ones and get started! Congrats!!!!

LOL.

THIS IS IT! Make the 'wagon" easier to stay on. A lifestyle change takes time to take root. Deeply cutting cals is not a lifestyle change. Scooby's workshop website looks like it's for gym-focused folks but don't let it scare you. The calculators and basic nutrition info is great. It explains TDEE. This is so important to…

It's so nice to add a man's perspective to the advice pool (1st part of your response) and some humor as well (2nd part).

Love this viewpoint!

more fantastic wisdom.... you da bomb!

A quote from the very wise VARDAEML that I refer back to EVERY TIME the scale doesn't say what I think it should: " I'd much rather worry about my ability to run for 8 miles TODAY (which I will either be able to do, or not, by the time I go to sleep) than to think about the roll around my tummy (which I'm not going to be…
