  • My cycles are much more irregular than before. It lasts longer and is heavier than before. I'm blaming my age on some of that as well though. I don't seem to be as moody, but the scale is the first indication that it's getting close... the scale increase does a job on my head. That, for me is the hardest, I think.
  • :/ I feel you @bowlerae! :/ I was just bemoaning in my own busy little head a day or two ago that the scale is being ugly and I am feeling no motivation to go to the gym ... and that leads me to wanting to eat poorly... which in turn gets me thinking, why am I really doing this? Am I really "in it" for the long haul? BUT!…
  • https://www.16personalities.com/enfp-personality ENFP-T Campaigner. Huh. I'm not sure.
  • I relate to this so much! Weight loss is the easy part, in my opinion. The discipline of losing weight is easy for me. The reward is so tangible/great that I don't want to feel the disappointment of not losing pounds/inches. Maintenance has proven to be my struggle as well. I do find it less difficult as I learn more about…

  • Well done @midwesterner85! I am a firm believer in education. It is something that no one can ever take from you. You should be quite proud of yourself.

  • So happy you figured this out before you got to that critical point. My stubborn husband is a non-compliant T2 diabetic who ended up in the hospital with DKA this past February. It's nothing to mess around with. Weird that your pump didn't sent you the error messages it should have... I'm not terribly familiar with how…
  • Be kind to yourself. We all struggle in our own way. The fact that you recognized the issue and didn't allow one bad choice to turn in to several strung together truly derailing you is something you should be proud of. I am guilty of the same. I baked with friends this past weekend and saw a 5 pound upswing on the scale as…
  • @ProCoffeenator - CONGRATS to you on onederland!!!
  • Dang it! I missed it again! Anywhooooo - Jan 2016 Wt. 233# MFP SW (July/Aug) - 175 CW - 160 GW - 150 or <25% body fat
  • I like red bell peppers with cream cheese as snacks to get the crunchy and fatty that I'm looking for. I also find that when I am craving sweets, dill pickles help me. It's weird, but it does... for me... maybe not for everyone ;) I second the 85% cacao chocolate. I like Green & Black brand the best, but there are many to…
  • Hi Greg and everybody! This is the most successful WOE for me too... I must have some insulin resistance or something. When I monitor carbs, I do so much better both mentally and physically. I'm struggling post-holiday to stay motivated. I'm doing "okay"... but okay won't get results in the timeline I am looking for. I did…
  • I'm a dedicated SF Salted Caramel user... but I've also tried and liked the Cinnamon Vanilla (wish it was more cinnamon than vanilla though) and the toffee. I am wary of the fruit flavors, but may have to give them a try in club soda or some such in the warm weather here in the desert. Off topic, also a former IA girl…
  • TJ's is my choice for PB as well.
  • Are there 3 little dots on the right side? Click them if they are there... that gives me the option to mark as spam or abuse and report the post.
  • Sorry... I posted that on my tablet and it only posted part of what I shared... so, the rest of the story is this. Down 1.5% since 9/8. Also down 2.5 inches total. Scale is moving slowly, but I weighed in at 164.8 at home and 166.6 at the gym within 30 mins. So I'm going to split the difference and say I'm at 165#. I am…
  • That is FANTASTIC progress! Keep up the great job!
  • Y'all!!! I checked in with trainer today... my bf% is 34.9!!!

  • I really need to be thinking of a new car too... my old girl is 13 years old this year... with nearly 124,000 miles on her... she had about 500 miles on her when I bought her in 2003... but I haven't done like I should have either... I spent what I would have on a car payment to hire a personal trainer until July of next…
  • Great job! I see lots of progress there!
  • Just stopping by to say hi. @samanthaluangphixay there is something better on your horizon, my friend. My baby is turning 10 on Monday. That's really about all that's happening in my little world right now. Hope you all are well. <3
  • SE Valley/Phoenix, AZ here... grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA (are the floods impacting anywhere near you?) I've been LC (less than 30g/day) HF(as a guide, not a goal) since January.
  • @samanthaluangphixay - I am so sorry to hear about your mom's situation. Others have already said it, but make sure you are both taking care of yourselves during this very stressful time. Stress is one of the things people understimate the most when it comes to how much havoc it can wreak on both your mind and body. I will…
  • I recently tried the Soleil bars at HiHealth. Personal favorite is the Salted Caramel Pecan. At around $3 a bar, they are a bit on the pricey side, but I like their ingredient list and I only use them occasionally. http://www.hihealth.com/brands/soleil.html
  • I grew up in Iowa! That conversation makes me just shake my head. Every. Single. Time.
  • @Phrick - I know just where Murrieta is! My son and daughter-in-law live in Temecula, so we drive by/around Murrieta quite often when we visit from AZ. I didn't used to hate the dentist as much as I do now. I have had the good fortune of having few issues and great dentists. Until this past year. I had to have a crown…
  • Thank you @samanthaluangphixay for the response. I have about 20 pounds left to lose... so not a small number but much less than before ☺ My trainer has a handheld machine to measure body fat. Was 38.6% on 8/5. 36.4% on 9/8. I am probably just being impatient... I just didn't expect the sudden halt in losses when I…
  • Happy Monday everybody! I had a great workout this morning with my trainer... today was core day... and I really needed it. My lower back has been achy for a few days... not really sure why... but he helped a lot! On a little bit of a sour note, I'm feeling a little frustrated. I have been managing to keep my carb count…
  • I'm in Chandler. I work out at EOS Fitness in Tempe.
