  • Hi jw875. I have been on ww too and needed a change. I just started tracking here again a few days ago.
  • These are great analogies! Love it! I also often have this problem and I am going to make an effort to remember these.
  • -Have you had your gallbladder removed? Yes, almost 7 years ago, laproscopic surgery -If so, how did this effect your weight loss efforts? I don't think it did at all. I had my daughter in May 2007, had my gall bladder out in Dec 2007 and by August 2008 I was down 60 pounds from my pre-pregnancy/post-postpartum…
  • Yes, my weight changes like that too-It can stick for several days and then drop three pounds or it may go up four pounds over night. I weigh every day but I actually track my daily weigh-ins on an app I saw suggested on one of the boards (can't remember who it was that suggested it now)-Libra. It actually takes the daily…
  • I really don't have anything to add to this post, but I did want to say to SezxyStef that I have seen you post on several threads (I'm a big lurker-you totally have my respect!) and I seriously thought from just your profile pic you were in your 20's until I saw you had a 20 yr old son! You look great! Edited to fix the…
  • I have seen people selling tubs (lots/bags) of clothes on craigslist, but I don't know if they ever actually sell or not. I sold all of my maternity stuff that way (but that may be more in demand?). Regular clothes I tend to just donate because I want them out of the way and I also do not enjoy dealing with people to try…
  • I have found some great deals at Kohls and JCP (Clearance racks!). I would agree with a lot of the advice given-Black pants are great and I do a cardigan/sweater and dress tank almost every day. Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls are good too, if you have the patience to look through everything and try on (Usually the stuff I find…
  • Awww! I love your fitspiration pic! You guys both look great!
  • The best advice I can think of would be to plan, plan, plan ahead of time. One of the biggest issues for food with our family is if I don't have the meals planned out and ready to go we end up with pizza or fast food. Take at least a few minutes each week to plan out the meals and grocery list and go from there. That would…
  • I think I have 2 left on this one: GLENDA6QR
  • My thought always is this: Just because I don't track it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I guess what I mean is tracking it or not, you still ate it so what does it hurt to track it. I figure it can only help.

  • I think the above are right. Looking at your diary it looks like you earned 269 calories in exercise. So what probably happened is that you had your 1200 calorie goal and finished all of your food input, then you added the exercise and your calorie goal changed to 1469 to add in those 269 calories.

  • Thanks, that one worked for me! If anyone else needs one mine is: GLENDA6QP
  • I would totally do pizza every day, but I don't think the husband would go for it. However, we do have pizza at least once a week, if not more. I have still been losing weight so I am all for your challenge. Good luck!
  • My sister and I joke about this all the time. I am a 36G, she is probably a 30 or 32 A. We always say we will go in at the same time and maybe they can give us a 2 for one special and she can have some of what they take out of mine!
  • I second this.
  • I had tried one brand, I think it was the Dannon? when the greek yogurts started coming out because I got it free with some coupons. I thought it was so gross I couldn't finish it. When I heard that story on NPR I decided to give greek yogurt another try. I started with Chobani fruit flavored and have since decided I like…
  • bump to try the link later!
  • Wow... talk about motivation! I think I need to print out a copy of that.
  • Congratulations! That is some hard work and determination. I just love to read your posts, they always make me smile. Keep up the great work.
  • You can add me. I am in a similar situation-Need to lose about 80 lbs right now, but I have perfect cholesterol, sugar, blood pressure, etc but know I need to lose the weight.
  • livefitrevolution.com has some good workouts and how to videos...I don't really like the diet portion of their program, but the kettlebell videos I thought were good. And they are free.
  • I only use endomondo for workouts where I am actually moving distance (walking, hiking, etc), more to get my speed and distance data. For everything else (videos, treadmill walking) I just input manually into MFP. For endomondo you can shut off the auto pause feature so it will stop turning itself off. On my phone it is…
  • I just want to say I love that. :)
  • This is what I was going to ask. I would look into the gym at the college (if it has one) and possibly classes-the university my husband works at has free workout classes (boot camp, aerobics, etc) that are free with an id.
  • I just love your posts! I hope Ed continues to heal and improve at home!
  • I'll have to check out the youtube when I get home from work today. I actually looked at your blog a couple of days ago, your trader joe's post, and liked it a lot! I tried to comment on the blog but couldn't get past the letter verification thing at the bottom-I tried two different times and even tried the audio!
  • I would love to join in! I have 3 kids, work part time, take a college class and am involved in a lot of other things so I would definetly fit the BUSY part! And I am 32 so I would fit the 30-something also. And I most definetly WANT to lose 20 pounds by New Years! I would love to be part of a small group-I really need…
  • I won't say my experience is typical, but I was out of the hospital that night (surgery was ~9 AM) and back home by 6, after stopping by costco to get prescriptions filled. I had it done on a Friday and was back at work Monday (desk job, so nothing too hard) but didn't have a lot of pain at all. As far as what I can eat I…
