Just do it. You don't need to run a perfect 5K your first time. I ran a 5K in December. I'm not a runner, I'm 50 pounds overweight, and I did not train *at all.* Yet I still ran most of the track, slowing down to a walk only three times. In the end I finished it. I didn't set a goal for myself and I didn't hold myself to…

I actually log earlier in the day. I plan what I want to eat and calculate it out. If it's too many points (I'm on Weight Watchers) then I substitute or opt for something else

I'm not condoning this, but it sounds like you are desperate and I want to help you if this is something you feel that you need to do. My roommate's mother went on a juicing diet and lost 10-15 pounds in the first week. It is hard. It is not really healthy. But it got the numbers on the scale down. www.rebootwithjoe.com…

I bought the Weight Watchers ActiveLink, which measures your typical activity based on an assessment period and then challenges you to meet a small goal every day. The goals get harder as the days go on!

I'm actually getting ready to go back to Weight Watchers. I've found that MFP hasn't been a really effective tool for me. I lost 45 pounds on Weight Waters in 2006-07, so I'm hoping for similar results! Best of luck to you using MFP though.

It's your money, do what you want with it. My gym costs me $125, and while I think that's insanely expensive it has a great atmosphere, lots of machines, and a number of classes that I really enjoy. I say go for it if you want it.

Unfortunately I am in a cafeteria style setting, where many of the foods I eat are pre-prepared and served from serving ladles. I've started bringing my own measuring cups to measure how much I'm eating (hence I know the 1/3 cup) but I can't say for exact certainty what ingredients are used... hence the generic. Butterfly.…

Oh my gosh, the post above was so helpful. I've been doing it wrong all this time?!?! I always included my exercise calories and ate many of them back. It tells me I need to eat 1700+ per day for a one pound gain and I've been at 1500 so I hope that that is ok. Hmm... Well thank you for sharing! :)

NO. VETO. BAD PLAN. DON'T DO THIS AT ALL.

STUNNING. This is exactly what I'm hoping to look like for a friend's wedding in August. I want jaws to drop! Congratulations. :)

The Metro is probably backed up today. Yeah, definitely. The Metro is, like, always backed up. Far better for me to just stay here in my pajamas and play video games. Plus it's a little gray outside, and gray makes me feel grouchy. Better not to unleash that on the unsuspecting masses. Nope. Oh, and I don't want to miss…

This. I aim to have a reset the next day. It's an educational experience for sure, but it also feels *awful.* The times I have given up have been because of awful logging days.

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I'm fabulous. Sadly, it's hard to find fabulous fashion for my less-than-fabulous size! Hence why I'm here. :)

The workout obsessed girl in every group!

I've always hated dresses - I feel that I look terrible in them. But today the weather is warm, so I put on a dress for work. I feel pretty good. :)

Is... is this a troll thread? I think it might be.

Thanks all for the thoughts. I'm not intending to overthink it, but I suppose I do that with everything else in my life! :) As far as the sodium goes, I try to stick to that one - I have a history of heart conditions on both sides of my family, so I'd like to keep it low. I'm glad to know that the protein macro is low! All…

I guess I have a different take on this. A) NO ONE should force you to drink if you don't want to, ever! B) Being a DD is normally a good pass, so I'm surprised they're giving you trouble. BUT C) They may be pressuring you because they feel like you are no fun on your diet. During this process you'll want to make changes…

Grad school - it seemed like a good idea at the time. And so far my only job offer has been for a full-time unpaid internship... 3: YAY.

Not to offend you, but I found that I used the pill as an excuse for a lot of years. In actuality, I had changed my diet and exercise habits. I tried for a few months to lose weight just dieting, but it definitely didn't work for me. Then, I started exercising, and the weight slipped off... I recommend starting to work…

NICE.

Add me! I kick *kitten* in games AND at weight loss. But mostly just in games.

I actually got out of bed and went swimming. I got out of bed later than I should have, and only swam for a half hour. But still. Go me.
