^^this In fact, I'm turning mine off now. I'm so tired of feeling like I failed because a whole days' worth of vegetables and no fat dairy put me over. And it's too much effort to calculate the good from the bad sugars.

Sitting all day is destroying my back.

My Fitbit goes everywhere with me. It has a few issues that I could do without (sometimes it counts steps when I'm driving because my truck is bouncy, and sometimes it counts stairs when I'm walking or driving uphill because I live in a hilly region). Besides those, it keeps me focused on staying active through the day -…

We're in a similar situation; I upped mine about 3 weeks ago. I'm not seeing a lot of change on the scale, but my clothes are fitting differently.

About the cup: of those I've talked to who use one, and based upon this info and my own experience, these are probably the top things which affect your satisfaction with this method: 1) You have to be okay with handling your own menstrual output. The cup fills, so while disposable pads and tampons can be thrown away often…

I tend to eat food in the morning that are more like dinner than breakfast, and sometimes I have traditional breakfast foods at dinner. This is all probably the result of my efforts to concentrate on fulfilling my major macros in a prioritized way (first protein, then fat, and finally carbs). This is what works for me!…

It has silica in it. Isn't that the stuff they put in moisture control packets and is marked 'do not eat'?? Yikes!!!

I'm in a similar place - laziness is trying to take hold again. Remember that story, The Phantom Tollbooth? I'm in the Doldrums. Once recognized, the only thing I can do is step back into a healthy pattern, and come up with creative solutions to fight back against my propensity to slack.

@Helloitsdan - I've read the info, used the calculators, and run some numbers. The fat2fitradio.com calculations show that I should be eating 2508 at light activity levels or 2827 at moderate activity levels for maintenance. 20% of these are 2006 and 2262, respectively. Using real amounts of calories eaten on those days,…

Awesome - thank you. Looking at it now...

*waves hand in the air* Oo, help me, too. After a 35 lb loss over 20 weeks (5 months), I've been watching the scale go up and down between four lbs for the last three weeks. It's making me grumpy. 5'6", 233.8 (as of this morning), and I walk exclusively at this point (I use a Fitbit, which I love). I have two friends…

Moms out there: this site might make you feel better. http://theshapeofamother.com/

I weigh almost daily, but I don't log until I see actual progress. So for example, I weighed in at 233.8 last week, which was down, so I logged it; then I weighed every day until I saw 233.4 today, and I logged that. The fluctuations are normal. As long as my average continues to be between 1.5-2 lbs (which if what I've…

There's a bottle of this waiting for me in the work fridge - love me some honey mustard.

I totally do this. And when I'm in the car with my friends, we always go a cheer for the exerciser - not like, out the window or anything like that, but we all spontaneously yell out encouragement with the windows up in hopes that we're sending that person positive energy. Part of my daily walk happens on a busy highway's…

HW: 268 (this July) LW: 152 (in high school) CW: 237 (stupid scale...stupid water retention...stupid stalled loss...stupid stupid...) GW: 160? Whatever gets me back into a size 12.

I'm in the same situation as you are; I have over 100 lbs to lose, and I have to face the reality that no amount of work may make my skin rebound. But the work is worth doing anyway, because the health-related gains outweigh the vanity ones. And creatively attiring myself will hide the parts I don't like. I think the…

^^ This. Haters gonna hate. Love yourself - laud your efforts - listen *selectively* to the voices that respond, and if they're all negative, get some new people.

^^Best response.

I didn't start exercising until about three months into my weight loss; I think I started exercising around 20 pounds lost. And even then, I only started exercising because I wanted to feel the endorphin rush of activity, and to be limber and strong again. It's been said a bajillion times on the forums, and it's true:…

I find it funny that today is Wednesday Wishes - I was day dreaming during my walk this morning about beautiful bodies I would like mine to emulate. And I was wishing for belly dance skills. Maybe it's time for me to start 30DS and/or some belly dancing classes!

THIS!!!

Depends on how I feel. I let my body lead. If I'm hungry when I wake up, I eat something small, like half a serving of cereal and almond milk, or a quarter cup of kefir. That and some water are usually just enough to make my hunger pang go away. Then I exercise, and follow that with real breakfast, which is typically some…

The big white wedding is just one option in a great sea of choices. It's also typically an expensive event to put on. Remember, our grandparents' generation, the 'traditionalists', got married during war time. It was usually a fast courtship, a short engagement (if any at all), and a courthouse wedding. And many of that…

I found it at the show link: http://www.utsandiego.com/tv/shows/scott-br-amber/ WELL DONE!! I gotta get me some Zumba classes.

I relate. I've tried to switch to all 'sourced' sugars. For example, sugar in an apple is ok. Added sugar in a store-bought pasta sauce, not so ok. (That one's a challenge. Difficult to find pasta sauce without added sugar.) The sugar macro on MFP won't differentiate between these two, so it's up to me to be conscientious.…
