It has silica in it. Isn't that the stuff they put in moisture control packets and is marked 'do not eat'?? Yikes!!!

I also read on some Amazon reviews of it that the woman used in the internet ads (with the incredible abs) is a professional dancer and has never had a weight issue. I don't know how true that is or not, but didn't help my opinion of it.

This type of product is not something I would try but I can understand the appeal. I did want to add to this comment. The name of that dancer is Daiana Koren. She owns a dance studio and has never been overweight. She was photoshopped for the commercial and others have been asked to do the same. So shameful!

    The amazon comment you mentioned

    woman in question:

plus I did a bit of background reading to verify this woman's story. If the product was genuine they wouldn't need this type of trickery in their commercials. Reminds me of the no-no hair removal scam. Complete rubbish!

Sensa is maltodextrin, tricalcium phosphate, silica, and flavors. Their claims have not been peer reviewed and all of their studies were company funded (bias much?). As far as I can tell, it's a gimick to get your money. The plan works, but only beause you have to keep track of your food and exercise (sound familiar?)

The Mayo Clinic wrote up an article about Sensa. It can be found here: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/truth-about-sensa

The SENSA studies that show significant weight loss only span a time of 60 days. There is nothing in SENSA besides a combination of a corn-starch type additive (think sweet n low) and then some insignificant other items,

The Idea is to have the smell trigger your brain to stop eating after a few bites.

I've used it, but I eat my meals and do my physical work. I feel it made no difference.
