I do Kettleworx for my resistance training. Before that I just used a bowflex. I would suggest squats and lunges, as your legs have the biggest muscles in your body, which means they burn the most calories. Circuit training would really help you :)

Good luck to you too! I'm almost 23 now, and my knees pop like every day if I squat down to do something, so I'm trying to go easy on them. Not to mention my mom is 60 and had to get both hips and a knee replaced, and me and her have the exact same body type so I'm trying to protect myself for the future.

I just run for one minute, walk for three. Then run for one minute, walk for three. And it still pretty much kills me. Running isn't very good for your knees anyway, have you ever considered Race Walking? :)

You should definitely start doing resistance training - lifting weights. Tone your muscles, and gaining muscle burns calories. That's the best way. I lost 30lbs just using a bowflex like 3 times a week.
