  • Excellent well done Janebink!! Hope you have a great week and keep away from the naughty foods to get that 2kg loss goal :) Keep at it! Chaz
  • Ours was Bon Jovi's Thank You (for loving me)..always makes me tingle, I hope it always will :)
  • Hi Everyone, I'm Charlene, most people call me Chaz. I started Dukan on 3rd Jan 2012 after having already lost 8lbs cutting out rubbish food & increasing exercise etc., I have now lost 13.5lbs, I am on Cruise phase & am nearly halfway to my true/goal weight :) I am finding the PP days a little tough on my finances as I…
  • I think you would lose those last 18lbs really quickly on the Dukan Diet and keep them off too! I started the Dukan yesterday morning after reading the book front to back and believing in it's principles, this morning I am 1lb lighter and I know this is probably water but I am still pleased. I really believe that humans…
  • After having a month break from tracking my food and exercise for the Xmas holiday I got the Dukan Diet book the other day and am considering it as I respond well to a low carb diet and I am a big meat eater anyway. Have you already started? what stage are you at?
  • As long as you have thought through all your options for a long time and you're happy that this is the best decision for you it doesn't really matter what we think. It's perfectly normal to be nervous about a procedure like this but if you have researched your surgeon - which it sounds like you have, then you shouldn't…
  • And I was just saying about all the support you get on here...*sigh* the info I was referring to comes from numerous sources including health professionals but just because you disagree that doesn't mean you need to be unhelpful & rude!! If you have nothing useful to say please don't comment it not nice or encouraging for…
  • Thank you all for commenting, hope I haven't caused any panic to others in my situation with the MFP goal calculations, just wanted to be reassured that my understanding is correct. I think I'll just stick to manually setting my goals to at least my BMR & if that means I have to lose really, really slowly then so be it.…
  • Hello, Today my BMR is 1505 (was about 1600 at beginning) but I have always set my goals manually until today I decided to try the MFP suggested as my weightloss has been stalling & I thought I must be doing something wrong. Just worried that it even suggests eating below people's BMR when all the info says you should…
  • I recently started having porridge for breakfast & cannot believe how much more full I feel for the whole morning - not an instant fix for you right now but something to try in the future :) For now try drinking plenty of water that should help hold off the hunger for a while. Good luck!
  • hello all new guys/gals! I've been using MFP for a month & have never felt so in control of my lifestyle - instead of starving myself, cutting out whole food groups or eating/drinking nasty tasting 'diet' products I just monitor everything I put in my body & all my exercise. Thanks to MFP, now I control a balanced diet & I…
  • wow you look great, well done & congratulations!!
  • you look amazing & really happy, well done & thank you for sharing! Congratulations!
  • I used to work with a woman who was seriously overweight & had an awful fat filled diet & ate more food in a working shift than I could eat over a weekend. One day I had forgotten my lunch so someone gave me a cuppa-soup sachet & she went on & on at me about all the salt in them - I agree that the salt content was bad but…
  • I hate that too & people who don't thank you for waiting for them/letting them through etc. grrr!
  • Have sent you a message but just in case here's my info again: Current weight: 161.5 lbs Your height: 5' 7" Goal that I would love to achieve for Christmas: 151.5 lbs (10 lb loss) This is the first challenge I have ever joined so i'm really excited :)
  • Hi I'm Chaz, I'm 25 with a beautiful daughter & wonderful hubby. I run a weddings & events business so my biggest problem was grabbing bad fattening food on the go & eating take aways very late at night most of the year. I joined MFP a month ago & feel like my whole approach to food & exercise has been transformed :)
  • Hello, I am an MFP addict too, feel free to add me! Look forward to sharing our weightloss journeys and achievements :)
  • Hello & welcome to MFP My life is hectic too & I really struggle to avoid take aways & easy grab snacks BUT since I joined MFP & started noting everything I put in my mouth I realised how much more I could eat if I just made better choices like an apple instead of a choc bar, prawn sandwich instead of a burger etc. As for…
  • Welcome & well done with the last month's weight loss, sounds like you're doing great! I've only been using MFP for a couple of weeks but it's changed my whole approach to food & exercise, I'm so aware of everything I eat & burn now which really helps :) Good luck with your journey & I'm sure you'll do fab, feel free to…
  • Hi & welcome to MFP! You'll get lots of support, motivation & inspiration here. If you need to laugh, cry, cheer or scream feel free to add me :) Best of luck on your weight loss journey! Chaz x
  • Thank you all for the feedback! I listened, I rested for 2 whole days & spoke to the instructor about which bits to avoid etc. & I managed a really good workout at class last night yay! Feeling the usual aches this morning but feel good and back is no worse :) And I am also looking into dance shoes thank you Rikki444,…
  • I am so sorry for your losses, I think you're entitled to hate the world right now but don't let it take over your life. I'm sure your lost loved ones would be so proud of you & what you're achieving. I hope time heals your heart quickly x
  • I was told to avoid anything in a sauce as most of them contain cream and a lot of fat, I often have Shashlik Chicken which doesn't come with sauce but is suprisingly not too dry, look at vegetable side dishes as there may be some options there too. Best to avoid the naans and popadoms if you can :)
  • I am fairly new to MFP so this is my first experience of such a negative topic post on the message boards. I don't really understand why you've got in such a state over other people's weightloss approaches/journeys. If you don't agree with the way someone is doing their weightloss plan just ignore it! For me I am just…
  • Congratulations!!! My advice is to find out what works for you and stick to it, for me it's a low carb/fat diet and Zumba twice a week. I love MFP (and I only started using it a week ago) because you monitor everything you put in your mouth and it doesn't matter what your diet and exercise approach is we all have the same…
  • That must feel so great, good for you! I can't wait for the day I've lost 30 pounds or the day people notice it :)
  • aww thanks for the support and encouragement guys!
  • Hi Jan I am new here too, just wanted to say hi and wish you all the best on your weight loss journey! Chaz
