To the OP.. keep doing what you're doing. You look awesome! The people who constantly post and reply (we all know who they are...) have missed their prime.. they probably wish they would have reached their goals much younger in life.. but you have!! Trust me on this.. I've been here long enough to see them come and see…

Hard to believe you guys are still pushing Lyle.. but maybe I've been around too long lol..to each his own.
-
@Theoldguy1 .. my point exactly.. right?
-
And just like that.. Fitbit synced 🙄
-
My adjustments from Fitbit have been routinely off lately. MFP has not been synching precisely at midnight which has resulted in inaccuracies. In some cases, MFP's last update is as early as 9pm.
-
Very fascinated by the increase in TDEE (as opposed to effects on weight loss)... particularly in light of controlled protein consumption to minimize thermogenesis. Looking forward to the final study results. Thanks for posting!

Correct. It overwrites the calorie burn for that time period. Not sure which Fitbit you have.. I have the Charge HR. You can search on the Fitbit sight for additional info some step based activity will auto track
-
Delete any exercise manually added to MFP. All exercise adjustments should come from Fitbit. Manually add exercises in the Fitbit App. Previous amounts calculated by your tracker will be overwritten in Fitbit App and then passed to MFP. It will still be one adjustment number in MFP but exercise detail will be in the Fitbit…

Go girl! Been there .. you will see you're so much happier.. 10 years here and loving every second !
-
Yes, this exactly. When my palms are down the inside of my elbows turn forward facing my hands. It's actually a ligament issue /hyperextending. Swiveling to the correct position feels awkward. Because of the stress on the joint I've never mastered it but perhaps with time and practice you will!
-
Houston too! Temp 96°.. feels like 105°. Gotta love that humidity!
-
OP... you may be double jointed. I am and my elbows do this as well when doing push ups. It really stresses the joint and I have a difficult time with correct form.
-
Are you serious?
-
Show her by your actions (sticking to your goal ) that you're serious .. it'll hit the mark for both of you!
-
If it has calories it counts toward your intake. Your body needs water... ditch the soda :) You've got this!
-
This is getting old guys.. give it a rest. Take it offline if needed. Not very supportive (or becoming to either of you) for new folks viewing!
-
I've had mine a couple of weeks so still new too but like your doing- I've done lots of research :) No audio that I am aware of (wearing it 24 hours)... I do get vibration for hitting steps, etc. but sound is minimal ... I have call notification turned off so not sure about that. You could test it though if you wanted to…

I have the HR Charge ... when you set up your account and enter your data (height, weight, etc...) it automatically loads your BMR as calories burned ... assuming that may be what your are seeing. Shouldn't be an issue.
-
Sounds very close. I routinely indulge in a tempura roll from a local market that makes it fresh daily... scanned label is 360 calories for the roll (about 8 pieces).
-
HBO had a 4 part documentary called The Weight of the Nation where this is discussed. You should be able to find the video on youtube.

LOL For the record.. Actually she said both...
RMR and BMR aren't that much different. I don't think EPOC comes anywhere near to 400 calories a day. https://www.nsca.com/Education/Articles/Hot-Topic-Role-of-EPOC-in-Weight-Loss/
Didn't say EPOC accounted for a 400 calorie increase - just saying these things can impact RMR and absolute statements are…
-
Some are confusing BMR with RMR - not the same thing! OP said RMR... RMR can be impacted by resistance/weight training and there is some evidence that HIIT may raise RMR (EPOC). Conversely, calorie restriction without exercise has been shown to LOWER RMR - also endurance sports - long distance runners have been found to…

Whaaa..... huh?

This is so AWESOME!!!!! You are so AWESOME!! What a fantastic story of not giving up !!! I am currently in the same boat so I have a few questions for you... At one point you added calories back and took a break from logging... when you started logging again did you drop back to 1200 or did you continue with increase…

Unbelievable to read some of these responses. Ignorance combined with arrogance is a dangerous thing.. OP is accurate regarding Leptin... http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/index.php?s=leptin

Got it... sounds like a great plan... thanks!
