I didn't wait - started fat loss and weights at the same time.

I managed a personal best of 140kg (310lb) deadlift. Amazed myself!

People who treat a hospital like it's a hotel. Do you really need to have a loud conversation, with tv going and playing online games all at the same time. There are sick people here who needs peace and quiet to recuperate you ignorant considerate *kitten*.

Wow. The before and after pics are amazing. Amazing job!

I deadlifted 110kg which is 20kg more than my body weight. Finally managed to back squat 100kg too. Want to start on bench press but have a dodgy shoulder.

44 yo female. 100kg back squat and 100kg deadlift, now working on bench press.

Awesome job. I think its great your wife is supportive & is encouraging you to celebrate and share your success so, keep it up!

I ended up having a session with my trainer on my birthday last week. I wasn't happy about it because it was my birthday dang it and I didn't want to go to the gym on my birthday. It was the only session I could get though so I agreed to it. OMG I was so happy though as I finally achieved goal #2 to back squat 100kg.…

I drink 300ml of BCAA - made a big difference to my morning training.

Personally I feel weak doing any sort of training after a fasting day or first thing in the morning. At a minimum I have a BCAA drink for some fuel - makes a big difference for me.
-
This has been my experience too - works well for me and didn't get keto flu or bad breath. I went off it for a few weeks and the results were interesting, I'll be back on it from next week.

It's ok to not like weight lifting. I don't like cardio much but love lifting weights. I do cardio because it's good to be fit and helps with fat loss, but I don't actually enjoy it. I do tabata so cardio sessions are short and hard. If you're not into weights but want to do build some muscle how about doing body weight…

Stress has a huge impact on hormones, adrenaline, cortisol etc and can definitely impact your ability to lose weight. Dr Libby has some really useful articles worth a read https://www.drlibby.com/tag/stress/

I did 100kg deadlift! Super happy about that. Aiming to also back squat 100kg - am at 90kg now. For some reason though the squat is freaking me out. 100kg donward force is so heavy, I worry I won't be able to get back up even though I have a spotter.

Running! I learned that one last week when I was late for work and streaking around the house.

I'm doing keto and haven't noticed any impact on my training at all. In fact, I'm lifting heavier now than ever before. I also train early morning in a fasted state so make sure I have a BCAA drink beforehand which helps.

Unless there's an underlying health issue, my take on it is that as your fitness improves so will your energy levels. I get 7-8 hours sleep a night and get up at 5am to go to the gym. I still get tired and sometimes take a nap after work. For me, it doesn't matter if I get enough sleep, just getting up at 5am makes me…

I've been a binge eater for many years, lost and gained probably 100kg. I used to hide food in the car so I could eat in private, encourage the family to eat junk so I wouldn't feel so bad, replace packets of things before anyone noticed I'd eaten the whole lot, plans binges around the times when nobody was home. It sucked…

I enjoy getting up at 5am to hit the gym and have all the machines to myself.

I was struggling with having enough energy after doing fasting and started taking a BCAA drink - best thing I ever did, worked wonders. Just an idea.

My husband is very supportive of me though he doesn't share my passion for working out and eating well. He usually cooks dinner for himself and the kids and I do my own thing. He comes to the gym with me occasionally which is great, even though he doesn't actually enjoy it. The thing that REALLY annoys me though is when I…

The suspense is killing me.........

I've been doing keto for a month now and feel great. I was doing 5:2 fasting and when I stopped losing weight I started keto. Fat loss is slow but I feel so much better and clothes fit better as I no longer retain fluid. I had read that keto can improve memory - I hope that's true but haven't find it so just yet. I do…

I made grain free and sugar free granola - was absolutely divine until I burnt it. Strangely though I like the flavor of overcooked food so I ate it anyway. I ate waaaay too much, maybe 1-2 cups so. My tummy didn't like me much after that and I seriously paid for it. Serves me right. Won't do that again.

I want to squat 100kg - jumped from 60kg to 90kg this week so not far off now! I also want to do an unassisted pull up though that goal seems a bit more distant.

Hot (is kinda warm today)

You go girl! Vent and get it out of your system rather than bury it with food. I'm loving this low carb way of eating and agree with clear thinking etc. Think of your weight loss as revenge. I'm totally rocking this weight loss and getting lots of comments, none from nasty coworkers though. Jealous, much? Keep doing what…

Gin and tonic, make it a double. Actually forget the tonic.

I had an awesome night out that started with a few drinks with a girlfriend that ended up clubbing at 4am with bunch of people from my gym. Haven't been that drunk or had so much fun dancing in years. Spent so much money I hope my husband doesn't notice. Oooops. Would totally do it again (once my liver recovers).

I was inconsolable when I found out my trainer was going overseas. I blame hormones.
