My dad used to run 7 miles a day until he got plantar fasciitis and couldn't even aerobically walk anymore. He tried special shoes, socks, a splint, rolling on a frozen water bottle, stretching and nothing really alleviated it. I bought him this ball on Amazon and after a few days his pain was gone, and he's back to speed…

As others have said, you're at a good weight for your height. If you don't like the way your body looks, why not try doing some strength training? Yeah, the scale won't say what you want it to say, but your body will look a lot better! Do some searching on girls that have put on 10lbs on the scale, but look so much leaner…

Oh you know... All those places you just love to see it come off first.. elbows, ankles, wrists, neck. Haha. I heard someone (maybe on here?) liken it to draining a pool. You're going to see the bottom of the shallow end before you see the bottom of the deep end. I'm sure that has no scientific merit, but it makes me feel…

I get up at 4:45, grab my sippy cup of Spark and I'm out the door to the gym. I don't eat anything beforehand if I work out in the AM, but on couple days I work out in the evening, I'll usually have a sweet potato/banana beforehand.

It's how you respond to the UNPLANNED occasions that is important. These kind of things are going to come up for the rest of your life, not just while you're trying to lose weight. It's alright. As everyone else said, that .5lbs is more than likely water weight. I typically only weigh once a month because a bad number on…

My gym (an all women's gym), gives out samples of this when you join. I don't know about it being for men/women/dogs, but damn it's tasty. But it is really expensive -- with the discount I get at the gym, It's still $40+ for a box of 20 servings. The taste thing is really important to me in my protein shake or else I won't…

I weigh and measure on the 10th of every month. The scale can fluctuate based on so many different factors, but even KNOWING that, I can't NOT be bothered by what it says. During the month, I try to focus more on how I feel and what physical things I want to accomplish (heavier weights, longer run, etc). As long as you're…

Love my FT4. Only ever have to wet it once before my workout. And I usually get ready at work and then drive to the gym, so there 45 minutes of inactivity and it's still find when I get to the gym and start working out. Not gonna lie, I usually spit on the electrodes. Water just beads around too much.

Nice gams! You look fantastic!

Boneless Center Cut Pork Chops (or whatever boneless, lean pork cut is cheapest) or boneless, skinless chicken breast... throw it in the crockpot, pour in enough coke/dr pepper/root beer to juuuust cover the meat. Low for 7-8 hours. Take out of the crockpot (leaving the remaining coke and juices behind) and shred. Mix with…

I looove oatmeal with eggs.... I don't like the runny yolk though, so I usually scramble them and stir it in. Yum! I'll add bacon next time!

I thought the sonic corn dogs were .50 cents all day today!

I don't get the flu short, for one thing. Every time I've ever gotten one, I'd get the flu that year. So now I don't bother. I very rarely get sick anyway, so I don't do anything different than I normally do.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf FTW! Large Hazelnut Latte. It's bad news in the calorie department, though.

When I think about "not having time", I find this quote and read it. It changes my perspective. “Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority,” and see how that feels. Often, that’s a perfectly adequate explanation. I have time to iron my sheets, I just don’t want to. But other things are harder.…

I really thought you said, "a cat, a tree.." Hahaha. Been looking at my screen too long today!

I understand the mentality of "I can't stop myself from..." You have to change the way you think about it. You can try all the "tricks" in the book, but until you get your mind right, it's not going to work. You CAN stop yourself from eating junk, you don't WANT to stop yourself from eating junk. You have to want to do it…

This happens to me! I do a lot of high impact cardio + weight lifting. I am always getting new bruises in random places after particularly intense workout sessions. Arms..legs...butt. It doesn't seem to matter, but they're usually painless. But, I also bruise like a peach. Look at me wrong and watch the bruise bloom under…

Love at first rep! Love love love!

Sounds good! I hate when people feel like they're obligated to comment on what I'm eating at work. Mindjabidness.

My Chiweenie tends to trip up the stairs if he gets to excited. And sometimes when he is doing "beg", he'll fall over. Hahaha. He's a special boy.

This. Allll of this.

I used to feel this way a lot... when I had the mindset of "good" and "bad" foods. Now I don't think of foods as "good" or "bad", but simply as fuel. Sometimes I put too much fuel in...or put unleaded in when I needed premium. But, I just shrug my shoulders and go on. I have thousands of future meals to make a wiser…

Oh yeah! This one, too!

Tried this stuff a few years ago. I thought it was lacking in the flavor and texture department. I usually just buy the individual Blue Bell cups and go about my day. If I can be trusted to dole the ice cream out myself, I go for the BB Pralines and Cream...or Strawberry...or Red Velvet Cake...or Christmas Cookies in July.…

Plantation Mint Earl Grey Tazo Chai! And CBTL has a Winter Dream Tea that is probably my favorite. Hopefully it'll be coming out again soon with the cooler weather moving in.

For me, at this point in my personal "journey" (that sounds so f'in lame), it's necessary. I got my trainer 7 weeks ago. I really don't think I could have kept it up without her. She keeps my workouts interesting and challenging, she checks my food diary and keeps me accountable for what I eat and she is incredibly…

I bought several packages of ponytail holders and I keep them in my gym bag! I also bring HRM, a sweat towel, water, earbuds, gloves for weight lifting...geez. I don't pack very light, do I?! Oh...and my yoga mat a few days a week. :)
