What do you anchor it to?

I have a silly question...when using a resistance band and the instructions say to "anchor" at eye level, waist level, and so on...what the heck do you anshor it to so that it doesn't come at you?! I know if it is to be anchored above the head you can anchor it in a door...but what about the other levels...any suggestions? I can not think of what I could use!
Thanks!!

Sit on the floor and use a chair or even a stairway rail for eye level and waist level.
