  • Husband and I workout 5-6 days a week. In the late fall/winter/early spring we walk and then weekends we hike. Late spring (now)/summer/early fall, we alternate days of the week with walking and bicycling. All outside. That is key for me. I mentally can't workout in a gym. I get so bored. I am spoiled by the natures and…
  • MUST start using this! I lost 50 lbs before and I told people " I just move more and eat less". And yep same looks.
  • No kidding. I didn't like it last year when about mid way through it became just another chore to do that day, instead of the fun awesome game that it is. :D
  • Awesome! I still need to get a Wherigo this weekend and have our local event tonight and then I'm done. :D I must say I've enjoyed this way more than getting one every day last year! :D
  • I know this is an older post, but I recently just purchased a trike. Been so long since riding a two wheeler and I was a tad nervous so the trike it was. I have over 100 to lose, and mine is just an upright adult trike, not recumbent. I don't recommend it for hilly areas, or sharp turns. They can be unstable and flip…
  • It happens! I hadn't made it to goal, but had lost 50 pounds by last spring. Then had a few family setbacks (which is no excuse, but is my reason), then had a friend go under the knife and lose a ton of weight, and it just kinda ticked me off. So how did I revolt? I gained all of my 50 pounds back! yikes! So back on here…
  • Love it! Hufflepuff please. :D
  • I eat plain Greek yogurt, add in some blackberries or blueberries then put in some pumpkin/flax seed granola and top if off with local honey for my breakfast most mornings. yummy!
  • Hello all! Joined MFP several years ago, lost a lot of weight. Took a break last year, gained it all back and so I'm back here again! I am Guwisti on here and on geocaching. You can read a bit about me (and my mom) :D here http://blog.geocaching.com/2014/02/guwisti-and-mom-geocaching-through-the-fog-of-alzheimers/ Anyways,…
  • *bump* interested in this as well. Having LBP the last couple of days and I eat a ton of salt....working on the rehydration right now.
  • I've lost 37 pounds in 5 months here on MFP. Diagnosed at 21 with PCOS and I'm now 35. Weight just slowly went up year by year. Of course I ate awful too, way more calories than I needed. I haven't cut anything out, just stuck to my calorie guidelines and have incorporated exercise, 5-6 times a week. If I could lose my…
  • 5 a.m. - Wake up and walk on treadmill for 20 minutes 5:30 - Get ready for work 6:45 - Take dogs for a short 5-10 minute walk 7 a.m. - Leave for work 7:45 - Get to work, make breakfast (either turkey sausage and boiled eggs or light frozen breakfast sandwich and coffee) 8 a.m. - start work 10 a.m. - mid morning snack -…
  • I'm 5'5" and started at 287 wearing a size 28 in slacks and jeans and a 2x in t-shirts and 22/24 in tops. I'm now down to 252 and wear a size 22 in slacks...jeans still in my 24's but can zip up the 22's and XL in t-shirts and 18/20 in tops. Even when I was in high school and weight 135 i was still a size 12, so i don't…
  • This is embarrassing, but I knew I was obese and was in the whole "I'm fine with myself" stage of life. My husband was happy with how I looked, I was comfortable with myself. I knew I needed to lose weight but it just didn't seem possible. Went to Louisville this summer and went to the Slugger Museum. I couldn't fit in the…
  • It's called The Bollywood Dance Workout with Hemalayaa. I've only done it the one time and didn't watch the rest. So I can't vouch much for it. I have quite a bit to lose so it was demanding for me. Wouldn't be that demanding for everyone probably. lol
  • Made it thru 30 minutes of a 50 minute Bollywood dance video! I normally walk when I first wake up (and did this morning), but my hubby has started MFP and now walks in the evening. I had the tv to myself for 30 minutes tonight and I exercised! I know it's not much to some folks, but I'm pretty proud!
  • That's FANTASTIC!!! :D
  • Awesome ornament idea! I've given out painted geocaching themed ornaments at 2 of our holiday events before but this would be a good direction for next year! thanks for the idea! :D
  • Congrats on your first caches!!! :D
  • Oh and it does seem to save money on grocery bills too. It's just me and my husband, we're on the family plan but then that gives us leftovers the next day. Not trying to sound like a commercial for them or anything. Just curious if anyone else has switched over the Paleo plan from something else?
  • They make it super simple because they send you the recipes plus shopping list each week. I find myself not wasting food in the fridge when I use it. Plus, not having to think about what's for dinner is very freeing. :D The times we have gotten away from it have been when there have just been too many active evenings for…
  • I LOVE It! I have chickens so maybe I'll change it to walking my hens. LOL. Great idea and thanks for the calculator link. :D
  • ha! If i was walking 3.5 mph that would be a good option. :D *laughing* one day! And those are some great ideas. I haven't figured out how to program my treadmill yet so it knows my weight, etc. So right now i don't think the calculations it's giving me are accurate. And I'd like to get some sort of monitor...maybe one of…
  • www.geocaching.com Basically you use a handheld GPS or even a smartphone to locate items all over the world. They can be as small as the tip of your pinkie or as big as an ammo can or bigger. Urban and Rural areas. You log the find by writing on a piece of paper in the cache, sometimes you can leave a trinket, and then you…
  • It's a great way to get out and about. Feel free to friend me on either site, same name. :D
  • Hope it's not one of mine! :D
  • :D Yay! That was taken this past summer at GWX!! :D I use the same name on both geocaching and here. Feel free to friend. :D
  • PCOS here as well. Was on bcp from 15 until early 20's. Found out had PCOS. Weight has creeped up over the years. Lost a few gained more. Was told would have to lose weight to conceive and my Dr. was quite rude about it. Never went back. Decided husband and I were fine without kids and that I was happy and fine with how I…
