  • chicken fajitas are my favorite thing to make in mine. Chicken, onions, peppers, seasoning package and 45 minutes to cook. We eat it over cauliflower rice for a low carb meal. Yum.
  • I'm 4 years out. It's not easy to maintain, I've regained but I absolutely would do it again. I'm working taking off about 40 lbs again but I know I can do it.
  • I love Panera, but, what I get there isn't healthy ...coffee loaded with sugar and cream and a bagel and cream cheese.

  • I melt coconut oil and stir in regular PB2, then put in a mini muffin cup and set in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. Mix up chocolate PB2 with melted coconut oil and put on top of the other, let set up in the fridge. It's an alternative to a regular PB cup, pretty dang good for a treat too.

  • Welcome! This is the beginning of your new life. I had some yogurt and plenty of water and low calorie juice at home along with protein drinks. Your NUT should give you an idea of what you need, but, it will be miminal. I started quite a bit heavier than you and am still 55 lbs from goal. My surgeon didn't encourage me to…
  • I am 9 months post op. I don't claim to know everything, make plenty of mistakes but have found so much support here at MFP. Please friend me, I'd love to be on this journey with you.
  • Congrats, you are doing great. I am 9 months out and feel wonderful.
  • I'm 9 months post op and have lost quite a bit of hair. It is slowing down though and growing back in. I take Biotin and prenatal vitamins. I don't know anyone who hasn't experienced it, seems to be pretty normal.
  • I had VSG on 5/6/13. Welcome to the club. :-) I did two weeks of two protein shakes or bars and one sensible meal a day. I believe they wanted me under 800 calories a day for those two weeks. It seems like a long time, but, it goes fast and once the cravings are gone it's pretty easy. Great way to drop some weight before…
  • I have hypothyroid, I have since I was in 5th grade. I have my TSH levels checked every 20 lbs and my surgeon said today I'm losing at a normal rate.
  • My calorie goal is 1,000 today and I focus mostly on protein which is a minimum of 80 grams a day. I had the gastric sleeve surgery in May 2013, feel free to friend me. :-)
  • I LOVE Starbucks, probably a little too much. I'll take a Venti Skinny Cafe Mocha. :-) I'm going ot have to try the Peppermint one, yummo!
  • Great profile name, I love it! So creative! I'm 4 months out and I've lost 78 lbs. I've found so much support through MFP and I'm sure you will as well. I'll add you as a friend.
  • I eat carbs, but, bad carbs (sugars) stall me. I wish I could give them up completely but that's so hard for me. So, I try to limit them and really drink a lot of water to flush them out.
  • Nebraska here. :-)
  • I love most desserts, but, my absolute favorite has got to be cheesecake. When we got married my husband and I had 4-5 different kinds of cheesecake instead of wedding cake. It was heavenly. I wish sugar wasn't evil and wish I had some self control.
  • I agree with the planning, it's key to my success. I absolutely refuse to go to the store without a list! On my best weeks I plan what we will have for breakfast/lunch/dinner every day of the week and then I buy my groceries accordingly. And, I always make sure to have appropriate snacks: Greek Yogurt, nuts, jerky that can…

  • My Dr suggests walking. He does want me to continue to increase distance and speed and avoid just walking the same route every day fir the same amount of time.
  • Sales manager here. I don't know anyone in my profession that doesn't think it's stressful. And, I think that everyone's job is probaby stressful at one point or another.
  • I totally agree, it helps me too. A dietician once told me, "you bite it, you write it." I enjoy getting ideas from others as well. I am a post op weight loss surgery patient and like to see what others are eating to get their protein in. I did have one bad experience where I felt like someone really judged me for what I…
  • I've never heard of the TDEE project. Do tell. I am almost 10 weeks post op. I have found my dietician and Dr.'s recommendations to be the best for me and I log my food and exercise on MFP daily.

  • Hi! I hope you get some other responses from those that have had setbacks, I haven't, but, I wanted to post also. Pat had some great advice about swimming. I too have arthritis, I am mostly affected below the waist so I can relate to the knee pain; my low back is the worst. I love to swim, I was a lifeguard in my younger…

  • I still drank shakes at that point. In fact, I still have 1 a day to keep my protein totals up. I also craved fruit and veggies, but, you will need to wait on them. I don't eat many now as by the time I each protein I'm full. Could you make egg salad with eggs instead of just scrambling them? I did that in the early days.…
  • How long ago did you have surgery? 8 weeks How much have you since surgery? 38 Current Weight? 279 Starting weight? 334 - first day of preop 317-day of surgery All time high? 334
  • You will get there hon, just give it time. I'm not sure what you can have at this point, how about greek yogurt and/or cottage cheese? Those helped me. I did eat egg salad and tuna salad early on quite a bit and scrambled eggs with melted cheese. I don't mind the shakes, I still have one a day
  • Have you looked at Target? I saw them at ours last week. I was lucky enough to get mine right away at Best Buy. Waiting is a killer!
  • I'm not able to customize my calorie goal, etc unless I go to my computer, can't do it from the App. If that's what you're wanting to change you go to MyHome, then Goals, then Customize. Hope this helps you!

  • My diet is mostly protein, so, I take cottage cheese, Wheat Thins and Hummus, protein shakes, deli meat and cheese rollups. I'm not a fan of leftovers. Have you ever looked up Bento lunches? There's tons of ideas on Pinterest. I'd like to do this once I get to eating more of a variety.
