Bumping for later. I haven't seen PB2 in Canada yet. Where does one buy it in the States? Target? Safeway? We're close to the border so we go down often but keep forgetting to look for it on the shelves.

I usually have one every day for lunch. With 2 kids under 2 at home I need something quick that I can whip up and eat while trying to feed the kids. My favourite recipe thus far: 2 cups of milk (I use unsweetened chocolate almond milk), 1 cup frozen raspberries, 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder and 1 tbsp of sugar free…

I don't think it tastes similar at all! If it's mixed with something though it tastes close. i do use it a lot as an oil/sour cream substitute in baking though.

I also agree with the nuts! They're the go to food for me. BTW, also watch your sodium intake. I'm not familiar with some of the labels you use but if it comes from a box it's probably loaded with sodium.
-
I took a peek and I think you're doing really good for just starting out! When I first started I found it a struggle to eat even 1200 calories but now I can easily pack away 1500 calories. Stick with it and you'll get amazing results.

You can always make your own. Just wait for almonds to go on sale at your local bulk food store then stock up.

I just made this pizza crust for lunch and it turned out perfectly! The only change I made was to omit the salt (as I find real Parmesan salty enough). I also divided the dough ball into 4 for personal pizzas. I cooked one and threw the other three in the freezer.

Thanks neandermagnon" that makes perfect sense. I never thought of cooking them first then freezing them. I think I'll mash them, cook them in the oven then freeze them in ice cube trays. I'll let you know what happens!

I love banana anything! Thanks for sharing!

I agree with everyone. I bought a HRM and input the calories I burn during a workout under "weight lifting" under the Cardio menu.
-
Mine does too. I reset my goals every five pounds lost and it adjusts my calories. I have my account set to lose a pound a week but I'm consistently losing 2lbs a week right now. I also do HIIT twice a week plus one day of cardio.
-
I use the small grater trick too! Works like a charm. I also use light Swiss cheese although sometimes I splurge and have about 30g of aged cheddar with Kashi Toasted Asiago Crackers (yum). I concur with everything in moderation too.

I had a friend who was on the Bernstein diet and had fabulous results BUT she eventually developed heart arrhythmias (v-tach to be precise...which is bad) and had to go on a heart monitor for two weeks. She stopped the diet and the arrhythmia a went away.

With Baileys :). Perfect night cap!

Thanks for the tips and recipes! I'll try rinsing/soaking it next time for a longer period ( I just did a quick rinse) and the rice cooker is an awesome idea ( I have one but I've never used it).

On Sundays I like to bake something. Been trying out gluten free coffee cakes (with almond flour-YUM!) and tomorrow I'm attempting a whole wheat banana cake with PB frosting.
-
I can't eat eggs either since having my son 7 months ago. I have the old standby of whole wheat toast with natural PB and a cup of coffee. Sometimes I make a coffee protein shake if I'm in a rush (unsweetened almond milk, chocolate protein powder, instant coffee and a tbsp of flavoured creamer).

Bumping for later! I love to experiment with wontons!!! Thanks everyone.

I agree - open your diary. Many menu plans people think are "good" are actually the opposite! Without seeing what you're putting into your body it's hard to offer advice. Yes, we may criticize your choices but it's for a greater good!!!

I had mine set to 2lbs a week also and found that 1200 wasn't enough calories for me. If you actually check it out, everyone who opts for 2lb a week weight loss will be given a goal of 1200 calories no matter their starting weight or the amount of weight they want to lose. I eventually changed mine to 1lb a week and it…

I also have a lot of homemade stuff on my menu plan that I've inputted into MFP to get the nutritional value. I'm not sure how to make those public though. If interested I can post some of them to the Recipe Section. The Gluten Free Coffee Cake is absolutley awesome!!!!

My diary is always open. I like to look at other people's menus too mostly for recipe ideas I work out twice a week with 30min HIIT but I never log them as I cannot do so properly on MFP (Monday and Thursday workouts). I also try to plan a day in advance so I'm not wondering what to eat and then make bad choices. You're…

I'm 5 months post partum as well and had 2 kids in less than 2 years and it does come off. Sorry I don't have pics but am down 23lbs (started losing before MFP) in 2 months and on my way to my goal of 160! (presently 187lbs)
