I also run... well I am learning to run. I have been taking an endurance class for about 9 months now. I am currently trying to get my mile under 9min. I struggle with exercise induced asthma that really acts up when I am running longer distances. I did complete my first 5k mud run a few months back.

From what I know, a lot of weight gain is not necessary. You only need an additional 300-500 calories a day. This. People complain about it being extreme and dangerous. Not if you learn how to do it right. Any activity can injure you if you don't do it right. Running, using machines, playing sports. If you don't like crossfit, don't do it. If you do, then great! Like me, you are getting a full body workout that pushes you.
