When I started the C25K I thought I was going to die running for 30 secs, I Never thought I'd get to the stage of running for 40 minutes, just seemed an impossible task. But I kept to the programme and made it to the end of it. It's a brilliant podcast! I'm just starting back on it as I had a break from running due to a…

Love the pics! Think I'll add pigtails next! You look great! I'm 51 and though I didn't need to lose too much weight, about 1 stone. I started eating healthier and adding juicing to my diet, which has really helped. I started jogging (or more like slogging) Just take it day by day, even small changes can make a big…

Well done, that shows true grit and determination! You should be proud!

How did you lose it? [/quote] More fruit and veg, less alcohol, and more exercise. I didn't really eat badly before...just too much of it, and a habit of drinking wine with our evening meal! I even started running, well, jogging (which I'd never done! need to get back into that habit) getting too lazy with the cold weather!

I'm 50....soon to be 51. I lost about 22 lbs (I'm 5' 4'') so I think it's made a lot of difference losing it. I feel much better, it might take longer to 'tone up' flabby bits, but it's worth it!

I've lost about 22lbs, and I can tell you it's made a huge difference! I'm 5' 4'' and those extra pounds show! I have much more energy and feel a lot healthier

I'm from South Shields, that's pretty far North..and East. Lost about 22lbs and down to goal, put a couple on over Christmas, but back on track now, just need to up the exercise again!

There are some amazing weightloss stories on here. I wasn't too much overweight, but felt it. I've lost about 22 lbs, and the difference I feel is amazing, so for those who don't think 22 lbs will make much difference to them. It Does!

Yes, I'm 50.......nearer to 51 now, but I think much younger :)
-
You look Fantastic, well done on your fabulous weightloss!

I turned 50 back in Feb, but took me till August to realise I needed to lose weight and tone up. Since then I've lost about 18lbs, down to 129lbs and a LOT fitter! I run 3 times per week and do 30DS etc
-
I'm doing both at the moment, and I think I prefer 30DS, though any of her dvd's are good
-
RI30 again, might do 30DS tomorrow
-
Did RI30 for a change today
-
Day 2 level 2, hard to keep up but managed...just!
-
Did level2 of 30DS, then an hour of gardening, that's enough for today!
-
Well done, what a transformation!
-
Day 1 level 2 done, it was hard, but I think I can get through it easier if I do it mornings, afternoons are a waste of time!
-
I'd count the whole veg/fruit too. You can download recipes from www.juicemaster.com/ That's the site that got me into juicing, and a toatally healthier eating plan!

I did 'Killer Buns & Thighs' just to change things around, then 30 mins of arms and upper body workout..........phew
-
I've got the Sportsband, and I think it's great. Quite accurate too if you calibrate it to a run you know the distance of. Bought one for Hubby too and he was really impressed

I don't eat processed food, but I suppose I'm lucky that I have the time and I like to cook, a lot of recipes can be made quite quickly and a lot of people make up batches of meals and freeze them for through the week. I used to do that when I worked full time.

day 7 done!

Hope you're all having a good start to the week! I'm going to exercise now with Jillian Michaels, thankfully not in person but dvd. Managed to do 7 days of 30 DS up till now, with one day doing 'Killer Buns and Thighs' at least my 'buns' have stopped going into spasms now, I know why 'killer' is in the title! Was going to…

Hi .I'm 50, and up until a few months ago felt it. Diets 'work' but only if you stick to them, and I think as soon as you say you're on a diet you crave the things you shouldn't have. It has to be a lifestyle change By far the best way to lose weight and be healthy is to eat 'clean', i.e cut out all the processed foods and…

Day 6 done! Aching bottom today due to Killer Buns & Thighs yesterday, but not as bad as I thought!

I've been on MFP for about a month, I find it's useful to be able to log food. Only need (or rather want) to lose another 5lbs or so. Really need to tone up though. I'm from the North East, feel free to add me

The C25K is brilliant. I downloaded it on to my mp3 player (my phone's crap as well) I couldn't even run for the 30 secs the first day, but stuck with it. I've finished the 9 weeks now and can run for 40 mins....not very fast, but I do it! I run 3 times per week now, mostly on the treadmill as it's too cold, and hard…
