You are only 10 days out from the surgery. Have you even had a follow up with your surgeon yet? I had mine out in December. At my four week follow up visit I asked that very question and my surgeon told me I could start going back to the gym 6 weeks after the surgery but to start back up slowly. Housework and walking -…

It's working for me, my dad, and 3 or 4 guys at work.

I will have to try this. Thanks

You run the risk of frying the circuit if you use the 9 V supply. Radio Shack and Wal-Mart sell Universal Power Supplies in their electronics sections for relatively cheap that have a switch to select the proper voltage and the polarity. The polarity should be marked with a plus(+) or minus(-) on the machine where you…

Your BMR is the calories that you burn by living your life everyday. You are trying to lose weight so you are going to have to eat less calories than that. That is why your daily caloric intake goal is what it is.
-
It is funny how that works, isn't it?
-
If its just because you are craving it, then go for it. You've already said you aren't going to eat the fries, so that is good. I bet those fries are worse for you than the fish anyway. So that is good. It is when eating like that becomes habit that it is a problem, but I don't think that once in a while is really going to…

You go to the goals section and look at the number for Calories burned From Normal Daily Activity and subtract that number you got from it and see that you wont be able to eat very much probably. Just set it to lose 2 lbs per week and MFP will factor in a 1000 calorie per day deficit for you.

What does your Net Calories say on the My Home tab? You may not be eating enough of your exercise calories back to keep your net above 1200. I know it sounds strange, but if you expend energy exercising, you need to feed your body for recovery and so you don't start feeling run down.
-
Maybe you can consider not doing 1400 calories worth of exercise if eating that many calories is too tough for you to do. Try dropping down to 500 calories of exercise. Then you wont have to eat back so many calories to get to your daily goal. It almost seems kind of excessive really.

I didn't edit anything. It would say I did on my posts if I did.
-
That is what I said.

If you don't put anything else in your mouth tonight, it is not 1459 or 256, it is minus 256. Your Net Calories is equal to your total calories consumed minus the calories that you burned through exercise and it also a number that you want to be at least 1200 or you run the risk of derailing your weight loss.

What does your food diary say? The answers will most likely be there.

The shorts that I wore to the meat shop today almost fell off while I was pushing my cart. Thank goodness I was quick. I knew I should have worn that belt.

Follow what the MFP daily nutrition guide tells you, log everything you eat, exercise 3 times a week and weigh yourself once a week and the pounds will steadily come off. Its hard at first logging everything in, but after about 2 weeks it will be a habit and you will see the scale moving and results in the mirror. You have…

What the above poster said plus if you starve yourself like that too long, your metabolism will slow down to conserve energy and when you reach your goal and go off of your "diet," the weight will come right back on and most likely faster too. I don't call this a diet, I call it eating like a normal person is supposed to…

You're not eating enough, so your body is holding on to every bit of nutrition that it can. Also, more than 30% of your calories are from fat every day, so you aren't doing yourself any favors there either. Eat more calories and replace those high fat foods in your diet with more sensible options like fruits, veggies and…

Unless those 3 cookies had over 10,000 calories in them, it is impossible.

Sliced almonds

That and your calorie intake sounds way too low for someone walking 6 miles a day.
-
I have never heard of them. Maybe the miracle is that you can get them down?
-
Incorporate more vegetables into your daily intake. You would be shocked how much more food you could eat, volume wise, if you replaced some of the smaller, calorie dense, things you're eating, with some veggies. Look it up and see how much vegetables you would have to eat to get 200 calories vs. how much rice it would…

I don't know how else to say it, so I am saying I am sorry in advance. You have obviously done the work to get fit, it shows in your pictures. However, the work you haven't done shows in your forum post: "So, I ask everyone in the myfitnesspal community to please tell me how heavy I look in pictures, and what areas of my…

Absolutely! I realized how much error I had in my portions by measuring the food out.

Pumice stone, they sell them around the household cleaning supplies.

I no longer overeat. My idea of portion size was much different from what an actual portion is. It must be from being a cajun. I was able to "recycle" a bunch shirts and pairs of shorts, jeans and slacks that I couldn't wear any more.
