  • Also I found that when I first started working out, my body was adjusting and I stopped losing for a few weeks. I think my body might have been retaining some water trying to restore the muscles I had been using during my workouts. It did finally level out though.
  • I've been eating the "weight control" instant oatmeal. 160 calories, 6 grams fiber, 7 grams protein, and only 1 gram of sugar. That's all I've had for breakfast the past three weeks and it keeps me full and I've lost weight.
  • I'm usually not a huge fan of the "skinny" drinks but recently tried the skinny cinnamon dolce latte and fell in love. It's my go-to now. I don't notice any bad aftertaste from the sweetener and it's still sweet and creamy like any other latte.

  • I did it a few years ago when I was at a weight loss plateau. I think I lost about 5-10 lbs but I went down a size in jeans so it definitely toned.
  • My wedding is this June--so less than 6 months for me to lose at least 40 lbs. It's possible but going to be lots of hard work!
  • Need to lose about 40 lbs and want to wear a bikini (AND LOOK GOOD IN IT!) on my honeymoon in June.
  • Bride June 17th+beach honeymoon...My goal is to lose about 30 lbs by then so that's about 1 1/2 lbs a week.
  • I have the same problem--I've been drinking a cup of hot tea with splenda or 1 tsp of honey. Helps you feel full because of the warmth of the tea.
  • I haven't read any of her books but when I was at a plateau I did the first two levels of 30 day shred and finally went down another pant size. It is very hard, no doubt--but so worth it!
  • I always go for flavored greek yogurt. I really like dannon 80 calorie vanilla/coconut vanilla.
  • I'm getting married June 17th, 2016 and my goal is to lose between 40-50 pounds depending on how I feel when I get there. I want to be able to confidently wear a bikini on my honeymoon  I've already lost 4 pounds in the past three weeks so it's a good start.

  • Agreed. I work in an office too so I set mine to sedentary but on days where I'm more active, my fitbit adjusts it for me so I feel like I'm always pretty accurate.
  • I'm wanting to lose about 30-35 lbs before my wedding in June as well. That gives me a little more time but I would like to get there more quickly if possible and not have to stress about it as we prepare for the wedding.
  • I had the same experience about a month ago. I started a new job last year and stopped paying attention to what I was eating because I had kept my weight off for almost 3 years and thought it would be ok--I gained almost 20 pounds in the past year and I just realized I didn't feel good about myself. I weighed in last month…
  • You should check out the website mybodygallery.com to get some ideas of how different people look at different weights. I am 5'7 and my goal is between 165-175 because I have muscular legs/large frame. It all just depends but that website is a really great tool to get an idea.
  • I did the whole 30 day shred about this time last year and lost a pant size so I'm hoping for similar results this time. However, most of my results were in inches and I would like to continue my running for cardio so I can lose both pounds and inches :)
  • It is higher in sugar than plain oatmeal but still better than other breakfast foods you might have.
  • I've been meaning to try coconut oil for recipes but after reading this post, I might try it for this too!
  • Greek yogurt is my favorite...yoplait has a 100 calorie version that is just as high in protein as the regular version. I hate plain greek yogurt though so I'd advise flavored ones.
  • There are some coffees that I like without cream and sugar....hazelnut coffee can be one of those but I usually add a tiny bit of sweetener even to those flavored ones. I think if you can't have artificial sweeteners, it will just take time to adjust. A little bit of flavored creamer shouldn't derail your weight loss goals…
  • Also, if you don't like the taste of SKINNY drinks at any coffee shop, my friend introduced me to something magical and it's a lot cheaper than a regular latte! We get iced (or hot) coffee and add white mocha (or your favorite flavor to it). It ends up 130 calories for a grande. You can also get it decaf if you want. We…
  • What a great idea to freeze leftover coffee for frozen coffee! I think I'll have to try that!
  • I have a dress that I haven't worn in about a year because 36 lbs ago, it didn't look so good. I love it though so I didn't get rid of it and I put it on today thinking I probably wouldn't actually wear it and it looks totally different and way better so I know how you're feeling. Also, I have about 35 more lbs to go too…
  • Did you use 3lb weights or 5lb? I bought 3 lb weights to go through with and some of the moves I feel like I could do 5 on and others I'm struggling with 3. Haha!
  • I've been in a size 16 jeans since I was 16 years old. Almost 8 years later, I tried on size 12's at the mall this weekend (my best friend made me TRY them because I was convinced there was no way they'd fit!) and I was wrong! They did fit and it was so exciting!!! I did a little dance in the fitting room. I essentially…
  • Today was my 6th day of 30DS and let me tell you...it's really true that it starts getting easier. When I started, I had to take a couple "shake it out" breaks during push-ups and bicycle crunches and I didn't have to do that today! So keep motivated...it does get easier by the day!
  • Thanks to whoever mentioned that it gets easier on day 5. Today is day 2 for me and it is so tough!!! I don't have to take too many breaks except on bicycle crunches and push ups. Hopefully those will get easier in a few days.
  • Yeah, I'm in between sizes right now which is fine for shirts and tops but with jeans and shorts, it's so frustrating! And my goal is lower than the next size so I don't want to buy new jeans just to grow out of them again too. It is kind of frustrating but overall a great problem to have!
  • I'll be halfway to my goal weight in about 5 more pounds! This is the least I've ever weighed in my adult life and I'm so motivated to keep going. I've actually started going harder now. My friend that I'm working out with had to convince me to take a rest day today, haha! I still haven't seen a pantsize drop but all my…
