  • Hello! Today is day one on the challenge for me. I am a working mother of three, British, living in Geneva, 45 years young, 7 kilos to loose (about 20 lbs). I log every day and would really appreciate a buddy for this challenge.
  • Sounds fun! Is that online/ class or DVD?
  • I have 15 pounds left to lose - it is coming off REALLY slowly!

  • That is so nice to hear. I have done exactly that for just over a month, and hope that I will not only lose this weight, but adopt good habits for life.
  • Am 45 - would appreciate some fellow 40s support. One month in, have lost 10 pounds, have 20 pounds more to go - aiming to do it slowly and for ever! Log every day, and am on weight watchers. Both are helping.
  • Hello! So far I have lost 3 kg. And I wanted to lose another 8 kg. Calorie intake is 1200 per day. Workout 4 days a week. Thanks for setting this up!
  • Thank you! I am making progress! So far my top pick is a retreat I have found on one of the Canary islands. There are three sessions of yoga a day, a massage, walk along the shore and a daily cooking lesson from the nutritionist. I met who colleague who is glowing after her retreat, so that is already a good sign!
  • My goal pose for 2013 is to do downward facing dog properly (heels planted). I thought I had made it this morning, when they hit the mat. I then checked Yoga Journal, and I was doing the pose wrong (hands too far forward, legs too close). In case it is helpful to others, here is the article, which describes in minute…
  • Thanks for all the feedback, and encouragement! This post told me what I needed to do. I rolled out my mat and silenced a loud voice asking to go to bed. Conclusion - Happy, refreshing way to end the day. Note to self, do this more often!
  • I love yogaglo.com. It's not free, but well worth the subscription. You can do a free 15 day trial. Good luck!
  • I still have to graduate! They all sound fabulous.
  • I would love it if the soles of my feet would finally reach the ground while doing down dog! They are gradually moving, but are still an inch of the ground. Who knows, they may touch ground in 2013!
  • Happy ending today! I woke up to a nice email from another teacher I enjoyed practicing with inviting me to some sessions she is running in her living room. You win some, you lose some!
  • Thanks for the tip off! I did a 20 min class this morning.
  • I actually had a disappointing class recently (I shouldn't have built it up in my mind so much perhaps!). Before getting to the class I had to involve 2 friends to help with my kids, so this was a huge treat. I signed up in advance. When I arrived at the class, an intensive 2.5 hour class, I felt was intruding on a closed…
  • Interesting! So you do 108 sun salutations? I wonder if I can do that without falling over... I wonder if there is an online version too. I absolutely LOVE yogaglo classes. This is a healthy addiction, right? I've already told my kids I want a yoga class for christmas, so maybe this is the answer.
