I quit in 1999 after 2 to 3 packs a day. I went to a hypnotist that only did solo sessions. I walked out of his office a non smoker, so I know it worked for me. I was a jerk to everyone for about 2 weeks afterwards and I did gain weight. All things that can be fixed easily! I wish you the best of luck on quitting!

I just stay away from the rice when I eat Chinese. Some places will substitute raw cabbage for rice if you ask nice. :)

Start out easy with a bit of cardio and some light weights. The elliptical and the recumbent bike are a great place to start. I was doing about 15 min on one or the other to start. Now I try to hit around 30-40 min cardio and do weights for about 20 min.

I often times use the mobile app to plan what I will eat while waiting for a table. Most chain restaurants have some good choices on the menu, replace fries with veggies. You can also ask for a box when they bring your food out. Cut it all in 1/2 and put the other 1/2 in a to go box.

No dents, bamboo is harder than most wood but the finish will scratch. We use felt pads under all the appliances and chairs.

My 1st few weeks at the gym just felt like I was going to die. Once I got past that I worked up to staying at least an hour every time I go. I do some weight training and cardio and feel really good when I walk out the door now!
