  • Bike. Bike, bike, bike! I have used every excuse under the sun not to haul my *kitten* out on my bike and ride the trails. No excuses - I am jumping on that bike and going at least 100 miles.
  • There is a lot to learn about this way of eating. For some reason my BS has gone up about 10 points every morning (from 100s to 110s) no other changes except I have been traveling. I am still losing so pushing my "I believe button" and pressing on. Sometimes our bodies are strange!
  • I can look down and read my weight on the scale. I use to have to get off to see it. My pants are a smaller size and my shirts are fitting much better, some are even too big. I am learning patience.
  • Wow. I thought I was the only one with wacky weight readings. Mine will drop 2 or 3 pounds and then go back up and slowly go back down again. I weight every day, but don't right down a weight in MFP until I know it is a real loss and not a fluctuation.
  • It took more than a month for me, but I had a heck of a time getting my carbs low enough. Still have a learning curve on that. Totally bummed that lettuce has carbs.

  • Not sure if this will help anyone, but I have found that I don't have problems with the generic metformin if I take it with milk. If I take it with anything else I get the stomach upset. I take 2000mg extended release in the evening.
