Wowsers...I pray this happens to me. I'm having a time finding pants and jeans that have skinny legs. I know I can fit them in the waist, but just can't pull the dang pants up to make it to my waist. I've had large calves since I was a teenager. Couldn't wear boots. It's depressing.

Life is all about change. Change happens. Some for the better...and some not. But you have to decide what's best for you. The truth hurts because of the way it's presented. Only you know what you have to do. You know how you feel internally about it. Dig deep and find the answer. This isn't so much about him. But about…

Drink more water. Then if nothing happens...drink a nice cup of Smooth Move tea about an hour before going to bed. In the morning, you should be rushing to the restroom.

Depends on my schedule. I plan on Sundays for the week. I like to keep my fitness routine fresh and interesting. Therefore, no one week is ever the same as the previous week. But for the most part it falls between 4 to 5 workouts a week. I've had weeks I've worked out all seven days...others, just three days.

Inches = fat loss Scale weight = weight loss [includes water, fat, muscle...Etc.] Two different measurements of success. Reality = Inches are better [determines percentage of body fat and lean body mass] Your Perception = Scale weight is optimal [But not really]

Actually, you sound as if you're interested in learning what's right for your body. I had to learn this the hard way. I stayed below net 1200 calories. And I lost a lot of weight, but then it stalled. And I was confused and unhappy because the scale wasn't moving. Then I started researching and learning about TDEE and NET…

1200 is not the overall goal, but the NET goal. If you eat 1600 calories, exercise for 400, your net goal will be 1200. Most people think the 1200 is an overall goal minus their exercise burned calories and usually have a deficit lower than 1200. That's not the objective.

Went to the blog. Well he's a nice looking fellow. *meow* lol

Bingo. Self control will knocked out your self imposed temptations.

http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_loss.php That should help....

MFP has a NET goal of 1380, not an overall goal of 1380. You must eat more and don't go below net 1200 calories per day. Net Calories Consumed = Total Calories Consumed - Exercise Calories Burned. Therefore, eventually your body will stall and you'll hit a plateau because you're not eating enough to sustain it. I would…

Wow....at how many calories were in those two Cheetos! But I agree...if you don't log it, you're only lying to yourself. It's not an accurate reflection on how much one has eaten within the day!

I record everything except seasonings. All the seasonings I use are salt free and 0 calories.

1.21, that's my birthday...so you're good for that .4 to 100! lol
-
Just a thought...maybe you should consider tinkering with your macros. I did it when I thought I was about to hit a plateau. But once I changed them, I continued to lose weight. Now, I've switched up my fitness routine. My body should be very confused. lol :-)
-
I've learned that 1200 should be your net and not your overall goal. You need to up your caloric intake to compensate for your fitness program.

Inspring thread and I'm certainly motivated.

Born and raised in DC, but live in MD. [It's funny how us DC folks have to make that distinction. lol]

From what I understand saggy skin comes from losing weight from cardio and not doing any strength training. When you do a lot of exercise from cardio not only will you lose fat, but you'll lose muscle. Building muscles will help to burn fat and give your body a toned appearance not a saggy one.
-
Nice success! You look terrific!

Ditto...well said! Thanks for this extra motivation you've given me. I was just sitting here at the computer like UGH I don't feel like working out...but I saw this post and now I'm going to put my best foot forward and move it!

Whole food multivitamin, probiotics, raw fiber, flaxseed. This week I'm starting a whole food plant based protein shake for in between meals or after strength/weight training workouts.

It's because your body has adjusted to your routine. Now you have to switch it up. The body needs confusion in either the food you eat - amount or the work out you're doing. If you keep doing the same thing it won't notice a difference.
