  • While I think some people do just fine eating bread and other starchy carbs every day and still lose weight, some of us just feel like crap and cannot do that. CICO just does not work for me until I restrict starchy carbs I do best when I keep them under 20 I never understood why until I was diagnosed with celiac and IBS…
  • Anyone feel free to add me that wants to, I will accept I am just too lazy to go through and friend request everyone :) My highest weight ever was around 281. I'm down to 265 now and just taking it 10 lb goals at a time to not get overwhelmed. My next goal is 259, then 249 etc. 3 years ago I started at 249 and lost down to…
  • I LOVE their unwiches, amazing! I get the Turkey Tom as an unwich, which comes wrapped in lettuce instead of with bread. I didn't care for them before, as I don't care for their bread. I do prefer subway because I enjoy having my sub as a salad. But JJ is a good option if you want a sandwich and are low carb.
  • It absolutely works. But you can buy the containers alone, or you can just use measuring cups. You can find out online which color is what amount. Like the green and purple are 1 cup, the yellow is 1/2 cup etc. It is very effective for someone who NEEDS structure to stick to and spending money gives them an extra incentive…
  • It's more likely water weight than muscle, esp if you are drinking alot. It's REALLY hard to build muscle at a deficit, it's a fight to just keep what you already have.
  • I don't use salt when I cook unless it's ground beef/turkey. On chicken, pork, steaks etc I use a variety of spices and I never log them. I guess I *could* but all the nutrition labels say is 0's all the down so I just save myself the trouble and leave it off. I guess that confirms the lazy thing though eh?
  • I like to do the best of both worlds. I will eat super clean food for breakfast, have a LC steamer for lunch and PBJ for him, and then cook my own super clean dinner. It's impossible for me to cook lunch home alone with my 2 y/o that you cannot take your eyes off of for a minute. Some days I will do tuna instead of a LC.…
  • Depo is more risky than other methods, because if you find it affects you adversely, you can't just stop and try something else. You have to wait 3 months. I only took 2 shots and gained 30lbs and ate the same way. I do feel like it messed my metabolism up, it was deft harder to lose weight after that. And is hard to lose…
  • I know everyone says it makes you gain weight because your appetite increases, but that's not true for everyone. Things like Depo and Mirena IUD work because they trick your body into thinking it's pregnant, is how my doctor described it. So you are going to bloat like you are pregnant, etc. When I took it after losing my…
  • I burn around 350-400 doing 30 minutes of high intensity per my HRM. I do get around 150-200 if I am doing something that uses more bodyweight or strength training. Not saying my burn is accurate for HIIT that is just an initial burn, supposedly HIIT keeps you burning all day long.
  • Oh my goodness. She is not going to bulk just from adding some weight lifting into her routine. Not unless she is consuming mega calories. I did P90X while running and watched my calorie intake and I did not bulk up, just lost weight more steadily.
  • I'm not a coach and I've taken Shakeology before but do not currently. It's not a gimmick. It's clinically proven and it does work if you do as directed. It's a meal replacement NOT a protein shake. Not sure where else you think you are going to get a meal that has that in it for $4... lol
  • I've done both, and enjoy both. But I deft prefer the orginal p90x. I just miss all the weights from the original where I feel x3 kind of focuses on core and bodyweight moves
  • They are both great! It's really a personal preference. Do you want to focus on strength (p90x3) or cardio (t25). They are both a half hour a day. T25 is pretty much just cardio. Whereas p90x3 includes some weight training, pullups, and a lot of bodywieght/core exercise
  • And just to add, that I am lazy and horrible at being domestic. But I do what I gotta do for our family. It's called being an adult. It did take me quite a few years to get there though.
  • I recently left my job because my husband asked me to. He started a new position where he is gone 12 hours of the day 4am to 4pm. I was working evenings and not getting off til 10pm so it was hard on both of us. We have 4 kids now and I get them all to bed, and my 2 year old is going through a phase and sometimes it's…
  • I did look into and this is what I found: The Institute of Medicine recommends all adults consume between 20 and 35 percent of daily calories from fats. The American Heart Association recommends a slightly narrower range of 25 to 35 percent of calories daily to come from fat.…
  • Either way is still a lot higher than the 188g that 50/30/20 gives me. I'm not too worried about such low fat. I eat mostly chicken, salad, veggies and eggs to begin with when I am actually eating right and not completely off plan like I have been =/ Add in a protein shake, a Quest bar, some cottage cheese maybe (lil…
  • It's not long term, just short term while I'm doing P90X. I know alot here won't agree with it and that's okay. Alot of you have said to use IIFYM.com, but if I use the default calculator there it asks me to eat more protein than 50/30/20 does, just to let you know. It wants me to eat 1g of protein per pound of body…
  • I'm trying for 50/30/20 and it is WAY hard to not go over fat!
  • It's not meant to be a protein supplement, it's meant to be a meal replacement and used as a multi vitamin. Seems like alot of ppl think they can replace their protein shake with it, but no. I actually use a scoop of whey in my Shakeology to get more protein since my protein goal is pretty high. It's a meal replacement and…
  • Definitely tell her that her words are hurtful! If you don't tell her, she may not realize it. Better to make sure she knows than to keep feeling hurt all the time. Good luck!
  • @chellebubblz
  • How are you doing? I started c25k in February at 250 pounds, doign the Zombies 5k training app. I ran a half marathon in October at 220 pounds. You can do it, don't be afraid :)
  • Any program that has a modification option would be a good idea. Even if you can't keep up and just side step or walk/jog in place til you feel ok to go again. Things that pop into my head for this: p90x, t25, Turbo Fire, Les Mills Combat. Sorry it's all Beachbody stuff, but I'm a Beachbody coach and have almost all the…
  • That's one of the most fun workouts I've ever done. I loved it! I'm doing Combat now, which is similar but different all at the same time haha
  • 1st off- BUSTED, I totally sang that!! 2nd-Yes you are on the right track. Squats are hands down the best thing you can do for your butt! Also hip raises and leg raises. Beachbody has a program called Brazil Butt Lift that completely caters to toning the butt. Let me know if you're interested! Good luck!!
