Hi everyone. I would like to lose 30 lbs by MAY as my short term goal. I used to be into fitness and clean eating but fell into bad eating habits and drinking after a running injury in 2012. Trying to get my self back in track. I have been at it since Monday and am going thru the dreaded sugar detox and feeling kinda…

Count me in. I am ready to get focused and loose this weight. I’m 53 years old. Started running when I turned 40 but had major injury in 2012 and never fully recovered. Would love to get back to running but for right now just focusing on some form of exercise every day. So glad I found this thread. I need the support.…

I have been a firmie since 1989. I have all the oldies and also the firm express workout. I enjoy the firm express workouts, but they do not come close to the kind of workout you can get from the older firm videos. Visible results in 10 workouts. And it works. I do the firm express workouts sometimes for a change of pace…

I am also doing the challenge but with a twist. I am calling it the exercise streak instead of running streak . I haven't missed a day of exercise since thanksgiving morning. My husband and I ran 4 miles in 15 degree weather.

I do not eat my exercise calories back, I figure it all evens out because i also do not record every single thing I put in my mouth, condiments for example ( mustard, salsa etc) also if i add a few cucumbers and veggies to my salad or sandwich I do not count every little thing

Hey everyone, late check-in for me. Road my bike 16.7 miles this evening, was aiming for 20 but my chain came off. I'm such a sissy, haven't learned any maintenance on it yet so had to call for a ride. It was so pretty out today, hope everyone else had some pretty weather today also.

yep he's a keeper for sure, maureli- your so right, I am not a happy camper when I can't run and its been almost 4 months. lol hurdisnie--so sorry to hear your back is still bothering you. sounds like a pulled lat muscle, but you think it would be loosening up instead of getting tighter. Hope it gets better soon.

Hi everyone, well it started off chilly this moring but ended up being absolutely beautiful out. Hubby did great on his first 5K and he surprised me and had a shirt made up that said RUNNING FOR MY WIFE on front and PLEASE RECOVER SOON I was so surprised. After almost 29 years of marriage he still surprises me sometimes.…

It's back to PT but I can still bike and swim. Gonna have my daughter try the new dvd's and see what she thinks. I'll keep you posted. I agree all…

No workout for me today, leg flared up pretty good. tee tee- I had multiple stress fractures of the fibula in Jan, and still have not recovered fully, I have something going on with my muscles knotting up so going to another specialist tomorrow-- she deals with muscles and tendons and such. It's just so frustrating missing…

quick check in for me Got up this morning and did the Firm Complete aerobics and Weight training. My leg is super sore today, guess those hills on the bike was to much yesterday. Great job everyone on their workouts today, and yay for all the runs that got done.

from here on out,--how cool, humm maybe your brother will make the trip and pam trust me I don't clip in or take my hands off the handle bars. I am a total beginner on the bike but still find it lots of fun. I also live in the country, so rural roads and lots of hills is all I have.

Hi everyone, Got a 7.5 mile bike ride in when I got home from work this afternoon. It was my killer hill route which I haven't done so far this year because of the leg injury. Well cardio wise it kicked my butt, but leg seems to have held up ok. Did some yoga when I got done. jjscholar--how cool to be a zumba instructor. I…

Pam- this is certainly out of my comfort zone. lol I have to stop to get a drink, I'm afraid if I reach down to get the water bottle I"ll crash. :) Hopefully I'll get more comfortable on it the more I ride.

well as exciting as it would be to live in greece I would really miss being able to head out and run or bike wherever. Hopefully the overhaul will help

tee tee yes it is a dvd for runners. its called Christine Felstead's yoga for runners. It is challenging but i like it. I also do one called the ahlete's guide to yoga, you can customize your workout for whichever poses you want to do for the day. I do that one thru the week when I'm short on time and focus on legs.

from here on out, i do have a tv built into my treadmill and do watch while i run. But no treadmill for me yet. Once I can run outside pain free I will incorporate the treadmill back into routine. Sorry the park was to crowded for your run, I hate running in congested areas. I am a country roads runner, hate running in…
