  • Thank you all everyone's wisdom and knowledge! I did end up looking at the calories of KFC afterwards and will definately look anything up before hand in the future! With knowing how many calories it was I would not have ate the extra food! I did hop onto the treadmill for an hour and will make sure to eat healthier…
  • My husband brought home KFC and although I ate my dinner two hours ago I couldn't resist trying some and ended up eating a bunch of fried chicken wings and a biscuit with butter:sad: I'm so bummed, I had been doing so well this week on eating right. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resist temptation?
  • 1/2 cup Grapenuts trailmix crunch 1/2 cup blueberries 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt coffee (2tsp sugar, 1 tsp nondairy creamer) Total calories: 330
  • Kashi also makes crunchy granola bars-my favorite is pumpkin spice flax. Two bars equal a serving so if I'm mixing it w/ yogurt, cottage cheese, etc, I use only one bar. I just put the bar in a baggie and crush with my cooking mallet (or something heavy). Very tasty. Each bar is 90 calories.

  • Oh I think I anwsered my own question by looking around more. It doesn't seem to be a search engine, just have to get my friend to post something then click on her name! :embarassed:
  • Is there a way to search for a specific person? My friend just joined but I don't know how to find her so I can add her to my friends list.
  • Thanks:smile:
  • When you have a cheat meal or day do you usually try to stay within your allotted calories or just ignore them for they day? I had my first cheat meal since joining MFP and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go over my allowed calories.

  • Going over your allotted calories every once in a while is ok. It takes more than one day to ruin everything. And experts say it's good to have a cheat day or meal, but do be careful on how often you do it. As on the site fitwatch.com, there is an article about how all calories are not created equal:…
  • Do you like veggies? Or fruit? I was always hungry and I am also quite small and was eating a lot. It's hard for me to go 3 hours w/o food! I started adding in more veggies to my diet and it seems to be helping. A lot of vegetables are low in calories but have tons of nutrients (double bonus!) Fruit is also good-but a…
  • Also if you get too little fat in your diet you can become deficient in vitamins A, D, E, and K, because they are fat-soluble. Meaning they get carried through your body by fat. One good reason to add healthy fat to a salad (like avocado, olive oil, nuts). Just don't add a huge amount. In my nutrition class they say to add…
