I still have this group saved as one of my favorites, but I don’t think it’s too active anymore. I’ve never been real active in any group that I joined, that’s my personal preference

At my work (a community hospital, part of a smallish hospital system in Louisiana), if you’ve been exposed but have no fever, you’re expected to work as normal. If you’ve been “proven to be exposed” and have a fever, you get 7 days off (and use your PTO) and are expected back to work 24 hours after your last fever. No…

Way back when, at the Navy hospital I worked in, we had to take the stairs up one flight and down two. I still take the stairs of my current hospital almost daily

I tend to cook/meal prep and portion control on Sundays, and it takes me about 4-5 hours too. Usually I make rice and some type of stir fry, soup or stew, and always a big basic salad for the week

This is what I do for my laboratory work shoes. Rotating seems to let them “bounce back” between wearings. Walking shoes, I don’t have much experience with yet

Same here. I went from a US size 18 to now a 16, with 45 lbs lost. Kinda discouraging

I’m in the US, 5’5”, 194 lbs, and wear size 16 jeans 😑

I quit smoking (kinda, relapsed and smoked 5 cigs yesterday, the first in 17 days). It’s been on and off like that since June 1. But, I’ve stopped the weight gain so commonly associated with quitting smoking. Last year I was 181 lbs, today I’m 193, down from 199 in August. Scale victory there, but a huge step for me.

They use that on everything, as a salt substitute, here in SE Louisiana

Quarantine? No such thing in my little world. For work purposes (community hospital), even if we’ve been directly exposed to someone with covid (either patients or community exposure) we are supposed to show up to work. Only if we have a fever over 100 will they consider us unfit to work 😑

I actually told my fiancé that I secretly eat on the way home from work and buy candy and chips at the store and eat them on the way home. He doesn’t really understand BED and everything that goes along with it, but he’s trying and being really supportive

I think you look great!

I was able to change my “meals” to time of day. I have times set up every four hours, as 0001 - 0400, 0400 -0800, 0800-1200, 1200-1600, 1600-2000, and 2000-0000. So it doesn’t matter, I can log what I eat when I eat it. My prob is staying under calorie allotment, no matter if it’s yesterday, today or tomorrow. Carbs help…

Flu shot is usually mandatory to keep my job in the hospital. They require we get it by Oct 31 every year

Went to yoga class even though I really didn’t want to after a tough Monday at work. Wasn’t my best yoga practice, but I feel a little better both physically and mentally, so I can come home and do my second job

Funny you say you wear it on your ankle - a long time ago I had a cheap wrist step tracker thing. I wore it one day at work on my wrist, I was standing in one spot for 8 hours, pouring off urines into test tubes and doing other hand repetitive motions. I had 17,000 steps that day LOL. Started wearing it on my ankle

Trying to stock up on supplies again, not bc of covid or flu, but bc there’s two storms in the gulf headed my way. Hey, why not, it’s 2020

Stopped logging food once I hit my calorie limit

About halfway done, and feeling kinda discouraged bc I’m up 10 lbs from last year due to quitting smoking and have been stuck for a while. My highest at 240 in May 2018 and today 193

Huge green salad with canned tuna fish and Patti LaBelle Mac n cheese for the man of the house

Gained about 12 lbs, also quit smoking and am working overtime every week (hospital lab employee)

Great job quitting! I started smoking again after my divorce a year ago - it had been 23 years since I had a cigarette! I have recently tried quitting again, and have had one cig in 11 days. I’ve gained about 10 lbs since the holidays/covid/quitting - it all seems to run together. Anyways, good luck to everyone trying to…

Awesome job! Thanks for sharing.

It’s all mental. I’m a binger. I have an oral fixation. I use food for comfort and soothing. Many years of therapy are needed. I just wanted to let the OP know he’s not alone in his year-long struggle.
-
I just wanted to say you are not alone. I’ve been at 190 for a year after losing 50 lbs during the previous year. Like you, I eyeball food bc the food scale is a pita for me. I am ALWAYS hungry and constantly think about food. Ugh. Good luck.

I’ve lost 49 lbs in the last 22 months. Not fast weight loss. And just had my gallbladder out - full of stones.

Body glide works wonders for me 😄
