  • Personally-- when I hit a plateau last time, I started eating up to my exercise calories and I started losing again. I would definitely try that for a couple of weeks (or a month) and see if it helps!
  • do you need to buy the Wii Fit pad thing to do any/all of these games? I got Zumba, yoga, and the Biggest Loser for Christmas, and it wasn't obvious from the packaging if I need that as well. I'm new to Wii :-)
  • WOW!! I thought she was gorgeous before the weight drop! Now her body is full-on model! I am amazed :-D gives this 5'8" girl some MOTIVATION!!
  • i agree-- seek counseling. i promise you it makes a world of difference! i speak from personal experience when i say that counseling can and will change your life. you can't change others, only yourself.
  • I know your pain--lately I've been eating crappy food and I'm even more hungry. Stick to veggies and protein, whole grains and you can eat a lot more I think.

  • DON'T DO IIIIIIT! Worst experience ever. Too restrictive a diet on it-- I agree with the above poster, it made me afraid to eat anything! BLEH! Believe me when I say that losing just the 1-2 lb/week is PLENTY and in the end it feels like not much time has passed. I think the worst part of starting is thinking "damn it's…
  • so I know I was MIA for the last week, but I still want to do this. More than ever I need the support! I'm moving in 3 weeks and counting and don't wanna fall off the wagon during the transition! I will weigh in tomorrow :-D CW: 166.5
  • Thanks for your input, Rach! I feel a little better :-)
  • 166.5 lb this week :-) Posted this on my wall, and hopefully you girls have some insight: serious question... the last few weeks, i've felt like i was "falling off", eating more calories than i should (not much more) and drinking on the weekends. however, i keep losing weight. does this mean i should maybe change my…
  • Aww I just realized I wasn't on this week's spreadsheet... guess I'm checking in too late :-( I've been off these last two weeks!
  • Hi girls! Wanted to check in- I'm at 167.5lb this week! I'm gonna say it's stress related... do you think you lose weight quickly if you don't work out for a week? Curious because I hope I'm not just losing muscle mass. I only got to work out on Tuesday and I'm leaving for Dallas this weekend so I'm afraid I won't be…
  • no one's mentioned this yet.... what if I look like Skeletor?! Or a bobble head? Maybe that's my fear because I've never ever been thin so I have no idea what I would look like. I'm afraid I might look ugly skinny? But I guess I'll deal with being a butterface over being unhealthy :-) haha
  • Ok ladies-- I know I'm late and haven't been by this week. SO STRESSED! I'm trying to relocate to NYC in a month or so and looking for jobs is soooo booooring! Not to mention figuring out where to live, how to get my stuff there, etc etc. And I'm getting nervous about leaving my boyfriend :-/... but I just need to do this…
  • YOU! ROCK! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
  • WOW! You look amaze-face!!! Great job :-D
  • Hey quick comment: you CAN have the perfect body! I totally told myself that too, but it's much healthier for us to believe in ourselves! You can DO IT!!!
  • Great story! Really inspiring, and now I know I'm not alone thinking that way. It's truly the best revelation I've ever had!
  • Awesome job!
  • @lilRicki after my very first day of C25K it hurt to move! Thankfully that stopped after one more run-- the key for me is stretching RIGHT after. I didn't do that the first time so all of my muscles were extremely tight.
  • Nice! I am in week 4 of C25K and I still feel like "wow how will I ever run 20 min"... this story is certainly reassuring! Tonight I'll be happy to huff and puff through the 5 minute intervals!
  • hi ladies! I see we're all still doing GREAT! Weight today: 170.5. Another pound lost! Woohoo! I was hoping to see something in the 160s, but I am still happy with the loss. I know I have been reeeeeally messing up on weekends, and this coming up one I know I'm already penciled in to drink again. Need to really back off of…
  • ^^THIS!! I agree that forcing your child to start worrying about weight at such an early age can have adverse effects. I know this from personal experience! My dad would get on to me about being overweight (since the age of 10), and he'd try to force me to go "walk" outside by myself to get exercise rather than engage…
  • I am 5' 7.5" and right now my goal weight is 145. I am hoping that at this weight I will have a flat belly, but in all honesty I have no idea how I'll look because I've never been below 170 at this height. If I need to reevaluate, I will, but I've also done "happy weight" and looked at ranges and that's somewhere right in…
  • Hi ladies! Great job last week (it's my first time checking in). Weigh in: 171.5 lb, loss of 1 lb. Glad we're all doing so well, and I love everyone's can-do attitude! Goals this week: -5 work outs, at least 400cal/session -drink more water (let's say I'm working my way up...) -no alcohol! I think I haven't been losing as…
  • No it should not be used to track all day. I believe "FitBit" or something similar might though. The FT7 is best used just during your work outs. I have one, and I love it. I didn't need to track all day though.
  • Just the fact that you said "this time it feels different" means that you could be ready. This is NOT a diet. I won't even be cliche and say it's a "lifestyle change". It's more of a commitment to yourself. If you want to be healthy and live a longer, more care free life, then counting calories is a great way to get you…
  • From personal experience, let me just say: DON'T DO IT. Counting calories has worked MUCH better for me and makes me a lot more aware of what I'm doing/ eating. The Alli was me trying to take the "easy" way out and... uh-uh it was not easy. Couldn't do it for more than a month and I didn't even lose any weight.
  • Wow that's great! I'm jealous your thighs are 21"!
  • Hi ladies! Great week so far! Proud of all of you! I even showed my friend this site and she was inspired by all of y'all. She is currently doing something similar on Self, but I'm trying to convince her to come over to this site since all of y'all are like the best support ever. WEIGH IN DAY: 172.5 lb. I rocked that ish!…
  • I just started Couch to 5K this week and I've never ever been a runner... I really like it so far! I felt the exact same way... I just decided I wanna be a runner. Never felt like that before.
