  • Thank You all for the advice and input. Definitely a wake up call and some of the replies seriously scared the hell outta me. Lol. I scheduled an app with an orthopedic as well as an MRI. I'll take March off and have to wait it out... FYI the Race is The Broad street run in Philadelphia : 10 Miler
  • 37degrees,Windy and muddy but I completed the 10k ! I Did way better than I expected ... Finished in 64Minutes. Learned a couple things : Check and double check shoe laces before getting started :/ (They came untied @ mile 5) : Invest money into wireless headphones : invest in better socks, running with frozen toes didn't…
  • I refuse to let anyone get in the way of my workout. It's My time. I have a family, work and do what I have to do but 1 hour a day is mine. Skipped plenty of dinner get togethers and events to go workout and I don 't regret it. It's my therapy ... some people hit the pipe, pound beers or pop pills, others hit the gym.
  • Let's be honest Everything is better... everything.
  • Thanks for the feedback ! Definitely going to start out at a slower pace, at least for the first half and then i'll see how I feel from there ;) I'll start skipping the treadmill and running outdoors too. I'm definitely in the minority though cause I honestly enjoy the treadmill headphones and 1% incline and i'm good for…

  • hmmm your post sounds very similar to what I experienced about a year ago and still continue struggling with today... I would work out start feeling great and about 20 minutes into the workout i'd get either filled with rage or depressed as all hell. ( while heart rate was up mind you) it's truly a bizarre feeling ... this…

I'm really looking to go all out and shave off a couple minutes if I can haha, we'll see what happens... My ultimate Goal is to run the 10 Mile broadstreet run in Summer of 2015. a little ambitious but gonna try my…

  • Ellipticals are low impact and burn a lot of calories without killing your knee's. That along with cycling and jogging here and there wil have you losing weight in no time. Good luck man

  • Cracklin Oat Bran is 200 calories for 3/4 cup. My favorite cereal and damn near impossible to stop eating them :/ Peanuts, orange juice are also on the list of shockers.

  • a year ago I could hardly keep up with my 1 year old son's crawling... Nowadays were doing 10 mile+ bike rides and running around like crazy. so when I get those days where a I question why bother ? I reminded everytime I see my son.
  • Sometimes the people around you and even the ones you love are the ones that can hold you back the most. Your 30 years and frustrated... well you just took the 1st step and decided you wanted to change. Now go ahead and prove to yourself and those that hold you back that you can do it. You really can lose weight, keep at…
  • I second what the one poster said about "being overweight is even more depressing". My life also revolved around food and which restaurant I was going to next but you have to look at the big picture and how great you'll feel once u reach your goal weight... retrain your mind and find foods that you can eat tons…
  • I just ate some nasty frozen pizza even though i dislike it and knew i'd get sick aftrwards... ugh. crazy how binges work eh ?
  • I deal with that @ my job pretty much everyday... they gather around and look and comment on my lunch. "what are u rabbit" "what kind of kids meal did u pack today?" dumb **** like that... i shrug it off and just let them get off. People love to drag u down if u let them. stay focused and keep doing what ur doing. f all of…
  • ... try again some other time,
  • Shopping for 3x shirts for the first time. Didn't want to be that guy and hated what I had become.
  • McDonald's grilled chicken Ceaser salad with lite dressing ... That took care of every fast food craving that I've had over the last year. The salad tastes great,is satisfying and is fast food without being fast food ... Dunkin donuts egg white breakfast sandwiches is another go to fast food meal ;) Good luck !
  • I have the ft4 and noticed the same thing. My elliptical gives about 160 calories less than my ft4 ... Bottom line I would trust the hrm before the treadmill or MFP calculator. Or just go with whatever gives the higher calorie read lol
  • started @ 260 and down to 188 Count calories everyday, and realize that it is possible to get down to ur goal weight ... Takes time and hard work but u can do it.
  • I couldn't agree more. I constanty measured out servings, rounded up if i wasn't sure about tbe products calories... exhausting but paid off. skipped extra's (no mayo or cheese on sandwiches,no sugar in my tea... that sorta thing. excessive but it works... the list could go on and on. Nowadays its easier and i do a lot of…
