Strictly want to lose the gut

I would really like to lose my gut before Summer hits.
Aside from crunches/ab roller I could really use some tips,advice.

    unfortunately you cant spot reduce body fat. crunches wont do much but add stress to your lower back. ab roller will help to strengthen your core, but wont do a whole lot for fat loss. diet is your key to fat loss, eat clean and at a deficit to lose fat.

    Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. Remember that. Your abs won't show up if you have a layer of fat over them. It doesn't matter how many situps and crunches you do.

    That being said, if you're looking to tone your abs and loathe situps do full body exercises like squats, deadlifts and, yes, when done right, even bench press. There are loads of variation to full body exercises if you look for them and aren't afraid of words like Bulgarian, Romanian, Jefferson, etc. All of them engage your core, which are your abs.

    I'll have to start clean eating and change up my routine a bit.
