I’m having an odd dinner planned tonight. On another forum, someone shared a recipe for a fish finger sandwich with Bombay mix, so I’ve volunteered to make it as an experiment! About to plug in to my diary now

The marathon, and my birthday, are both in October. Plenty of time to train! I have a 5 km run next weekend which is a “red dress run” for the local chest heart and stroke charity. I’m known for my costumes, so I’m dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood, with one dog as the big bad wolf, and the other as the woodcutter.

Morning all, happy new week! I’ve just got some exciting news. I applied for a charity place in the london marathon, and I’ve got in! It’ll be my first marathon, but as I turn 60this year I wanted to do something special.

Enjoy the super bowl everyone! I’ve been managing to get out running this weekend, and feeling very energised!
-
Lol, not cakes! Had a good first day, not quite the steps target but close.

Happy February all! I’m committing to 800 cake, 10,000 steps and no booze. Lovely miso aubergine for dinner tonight.

I've been keeping up with my daily HIIT habit, and am really enjoying it! had a whiskey on Burns Night, but a reasonable day yesterday and have just plugged in today's planned food.

Snowing here in Ireland! I was skypeing my sister in Melbourne, and she had a friend with he who had never seen snow before.

Oh Meghan, hope you get better news on Wednesday. It was a bit of a blue Monday here, annoying work stuff. But I remind myself that one of the things I can control in this crazy world is what I eat.

Yeah I find fruits like mango or pineapple arent worth it! Fst800 is 800 calories a day, lowish carb and good protein. Up to a max of 12 weeks, but I’m aiming for 3. Then move to a 5:2 approach, with 2 restricted days or week. Pretty much as a maintainance approach.

Ireland is a bit snowy and magical today! Down to 163 pounds, aiming for 140. I'm 5'2. Day 4 on the Fast 800 approach, my new recipe book is on its way! It's supposed to have easier simple and quick recipes. Last night I made a prawn nasi goreng with cauli rice, which was delicious. Tonight will be falafels with harissa…

Morning all, and happy new year! It’s very cold and icy here in Ireland, which isn’t great for getting outside for a walk or run. But I’ve started doing a quick HIIT workout first thing every morning. Back on the eating plan from today, the biggest factor for me is cutting out alcohol. Please remind me that alcohol lies!

Hi everyone! It was a quiet Christmas, but I did t stick to fasting plan for a while. Looking forward to restarting, and feeling healthier, again.

I had a shocker of a Friday 13th, and it's taken me a while to get back on board! Running training tonight, followed by Highland dancing. I borrowed a set of swords from a dance friend, so I'll be trying those in the sword dance tonight - it's rather tricky! On the menu today is Greek yoghurt and berries, prawn laksa…

Hi everyone! I'm back on plan this week, feeling strong about it. New online dance class tonight as well! Normally I do Scottish Country dancing (I'm a teacher), but as it is all done in sets or groups of people, with lots of giving hands, it's going to be some time before we are allowed to have those classes. So instead…

It's definitely feeling wintery here in Ireland - grey wet mornings, and the sun setting at about 7. Time for the spicy soup!

Hi folks! I've had a hectic week at work, including multiple potential or suspected Covid cases, so I've been a bit stressed. And reaching for the wine and chocs a bit too much. But I'm still down a pound, which I'm grateful for.

Have a wonderful vacation! Just doing this week's menu plan - cod tagine tonight (I need to use up some chickpeas), prawn curry, then I may make a veggie chilli using the rest of the chickpeas. I got some fresh chilli at the weekend.
-
Trying to get back into the groove after weekend away, must do up a proper menu plan.

I’m in Donegal this weekend, husbands birthday. So I’ll not be sticking rigidly to plan, but will try to make sensible choices.
-
Unusual NSV here, my husband said “ you’re laughing more” Being honest, I think that’s a lot to do with being alcohol free, I keep conveniently forgetting what a depressant it is.

Hi folks, yes I had my hair done yesterday. I have really short hair - at the start of lockdown my husband gave me the clippers-all-over Covid-cut, so it's just grown its own way since then. It's now lovely and neat, and a gorgeous shade of choclate brown (about the only chocolate I'll get at the minute, lol) It's a Bank…

I'm looking forward to my first post Covid trip to the hairdressers this week - my reward for reaching my first target (getting my bmi under 30)

Hi folks, hope you don't mind me joining you! I'm one week into the Fast 800, and enjoying it so far. Having just read the book, I know it encourages time restricted eating. So. Does my morning cuppa, with milk, technically break this? I can go without food till 10 or 11 no problem, but I really enjoy that first brew.

The pdf states that the calorie amounts are per serving. And for an extra large that's 1/10 of teh whole thing, ie one small slice. Enjoy!

Good grief there are any amount of flavours of green tea to try! Where do you usually shop? My current favourite is a salted caramel flavour one (though it's just the smell rather than the taste).
-
Are you working out in a gym? Most cold-like things are passed through the hands, so could you be touching equipment that others are using? Can you get a hand sanitiser and start using that more frequently?

I add it to salad!

Load of tosh.
