I'd like to know about this as well!

Thanks Eric!

"so if you only remove BMR you would double count the caloires between BMR and maintenance.":  Sorry you lost me there. How do you calculate actual exercise calories?
-
So if it's total do you deduct what calories you'd "burn" sitting around before logging exercise?
-
Hmmmm...somebodies response was a bit grumpy. I dont think she was looking for a spelling lesson!:grumble: I have taken WELLBUTRIN for years and not to much in the weight loss department.
-
What I did is set my "daily activity" under "My Goals" a step above what I really do and didn't log it as an exercise. I have researched endlessly it seems on this and the best thing i have heard is an oz. of breast milk equals 20 calories your body burns to produce it.

Get chicken fajitas but dont use a tortilla. NO chips..they are terrible!

Not accurate especially on carpet. Wii is about 7 lbs under.
-
Some might disagree about the X 12 but the number makes sense to me and I think that the 2000 cal thing is based on an average male.:flowerforyou:
-
Multiply your current weight by 12 and that is what you need to maintain.

We should all friend each other to keep motivated! I'm 3 months postpartum and not losing either. The breastfeeding has done nada! I walk briskly on the treadmill 5-6 days a week for 45 minutes and go to a friends 3 days a week to do Wii and/or elliptical. I was 168 prepreg, got up to about 204(I stopped looking at the…

Ingredients per 8oz of salmon: 1 egg 1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs chopped onion and bell pepper(amount up to you) whatever seasoning you like Spray a skillet with the pump-style olive oil just to coat and cook it up! Should cook each side about 5 minutes or until salmon is not pink.

Im in the same boat but I did just have a baby 3 months ago...... Breastfeeding has done NOTHING so hopefully when I ween him off I'll be in the group that only loses after b-feeding and I get my cycle back. I have started to do many different exercises throughout the week. Not just my 45-60 minutes on the treadmill.…

I'm no expert but it sounds like both of them are off. I think Emily's bodybugg is too low and cmurphey is too high(but not by much:flowerforyou: )
-
It's going to high! I would go with the 536 but I guess it depends on your overall fitness in the first place. If you want to take an average of the two, that might be the safe bet.

Honestly I'd stay right where you are! Once you see the weight loss slowing down then adjust. Your doing amazing! :flowerforyou:

Ok now I' m really confused. I have been at this a month and the scale hasn't moved. I'm at 1220 cal/day. I usually eat all my exercise cal but I have been considering a few different options to get the scale moving. 1. Don't eat my exercise cal. and keep daily cal at 1220. 2. Increase daily cal by 50-100. and don't eat ex…

I'm right where you are diamondangel! I month today on this site and 1lb lost if I'm lucky! I'm going to go weigh today to see where I'm at......

Eat 1200 AT LEAST! I am using this site as a guide not the bible. If I go over one day I a remind myself that when i wasn't logging my food I must have gone WAY over 1200. As long as the quality of the food you eat is good than dont fret!:flowerforyou: Exercise as much as possible too.

I am aiming to lose 25 to get me at the very threshold of my ideal BMI. It's not coming off like it used too!

THIS SITE IS MY MOTIVATION! Seriously! t At the end of the day I will check in with you all and deal with a big fat red negative or revel in a nice 0 or even a green positive! It is very rewarding even if you don't see desired results. You can see what your eating and for me I am comfortable with what I am eating. Not…

Sorry for the rant...so in short take an average of several sources.

I just got a Sportline HRM from Walmart, no chest strap. I am constantly pushing that little button to get current HR so I think I'm checking enough to be accurate. I am "burning" more than MFP calculates but I take it with a grain of salt(damn the salt btw...that's another post all together!). Based on MFP , other…

Ditto Cannon15! You gotta think this used to be your everyday eating(I assume)....was/is mine, so 15 to 1 is good stuff girl!

I hope it's true b/c I haven't lost a blasted thing while doing this crazy thing called a "diet". You guys know what this "diet" thing is all about? .......

1200 cal is NOT enough for all that you say you are doing! You need to up your calories! To what I dont want to speculate but from all I have read on here and numerous other sites, if yu are not eating enough calories you wont lose.
-
I went up 5lbs one day last week! I'm back down now though. Still haven't lost any "real" lbs but only been doing this a few weeks. I'm exercising WAY more too. I'd like some MFP veterans advice myself.
