Defnitely a different flavor. I found that after several tries of rice I didn't like, I found Trader Joe's Basmati quick cook brown rice is great. Another alternative maybe quinoa. I love it!!! (The rest of my family doesn't however ;(

I put a scoop of protien powder in (your choice of many flavors, I prefer strawberry or cinnamon roll), and a splash of almond milk! :)

There is not reason to cut out things you like. I typically don't drink pop at all until I am having vodka/diets on the weekend :) As long as you are achieving your goals, who cares. Now, if you get stuck, and aren't achieving your goals, then I might reconsider, but until then, enjoy :)

Hi! Feel free to add me too, I have a lot of weight to lose! The exercise is great, but just keep in mind that you cannot outrun/outwalk/outwork-out your fork. Food intake is where it's at! I am down 40 on a 100+ pound attack on fat! Let's do this!

I would do something light today. The quicker you start moving those muscles again, the quicker you will break down that lactic acid build up that is in the muscles causing the soreness. I would go light though, maybe a walk, some stretching, and another walk. This will lessen the risk of injury, and help get your muscles…

I still have lots of weight to lose, so I can't answer your question specifically, but I am consistently losing weight with cardio every day, and stronglifts 3x per week or so. STRONG = AWESOME!

I think the best thing that I have done is to identify times that I was eating when I wasn't hungry...(i.e. bored, listless, nervous, sad, etc.) and subbed something else in for the eating. Individually wrapped chicken or fish, cook up some ground turkey and refreeze in single serve portions. Frozen veggies to heat up in servings you want, fruits that are frozen, you can pull out what you want to eat....Lots of options!

I agree with the others, find a professional to help out, but how about focus on the body parts that aren't affected....arms/abs....All the upper body lifts, and ab exercises should not incorporate your injured leg. Every Monday I bring in fresh veggies (assorted), spinach/lettuce mixes, whatever protein we made that weekend (chicken, fish, etc), hard-boiled eggs, etc and have salads and different veggies all week. I change up the protein, and the veggies, and it never gets old :)
