I've found it to be eerily accurate when taking the long view. When I did MFP the first go around 9 years ago I found the message at the end of the day when closing your diary, "If every day were like today... You'd weigh XXX.x lbs in 5 weeks" to be spot on. I'd make a note of it, and check it in 5 weeks, and sure enough,…

Nope, doesn't matter. A calorie is a calorie. I wouldn't trust most scales to be able to differentiate 0.2 lbs. Gaining 1 lb. even though you are staying under the limit is probably water weight or maybe you didn't log your food intake accurately, or both. Just stay on course and you will lose weight. The MFP app is eerily…

4 egg omelet--3 eggs whites only, 1 regular egg. Very filling and only 120 calories. Mix in salsa, or veggies, or low calorie cheese for variety.

Wow.....Lookin' good.

Okay, I'll play. I'm back on MyFitnessPal. Need to lose about 15 lbs. Here's what I accomplished the last time I used MFP. I went from 230 lbs to 200 lbs.

Over a year ago we were worried about our 12 year old son, who was 5'0" and weighed 70 lbs. Since then we have brought him to 2 doctors. Both say he is in the 2% of his weight class (98% of all other boys weigh more than him), very underweight and it needs to be addressed. They both suggested Ensure or Boost once a day.…

I lost 30 lbs. in about 6 months. The first 10 came off quickly, about a month and a half, and then it was about a pound per week after that. I was a daily weigher and my weight see-sawed up and down after the first month and a half, but the general trend was downward. Pics? Just my profile pic. As you can see I've…

Hmmm...I just created a new thread with my face pic, hadn't seen this one. Here I am:

Nice feeling, ain't it?! BTW, love your ticker...

I'm no expert but I wonder about the accuracy of your "calories burned" numbers. Example: Running/walking with dog, 58 minutes, 679 calories burned. Really? I didn't even know what TRX training was until I Googled it, but 600 calories an hour? As to food, you seem to have a sweet tooth, cookies, cake, ice cream, etc.…

Eggs. I make scrambled eggs using 3 eggs using whites only, and one whole egg. 121 calories. 2% lowfat cottage cheese Village Hearth 12 grain bread, 40 calories per slice vs. 70 calories per slice of regular bread.

My favorite breakfast: 3 eggs, whites only 1 whole egg 2 Tbsp salsa Scramble the eggs on medium-low heat and when almost firm add: 1/2 ounce shredded cheddar cheese 181 calories. Add a 6 oz. glass of orange juice for a total of 264 calories. Keeps me full until lunch

I tried a bunch of stuff, in various combinations--feta cheese, mushrooms, onions, salsa, broccoli, etc. I couldn't find bacon salt at any stores near me. I settled on this combination as my most common combination: 3 egg whites 1 egg with yolk (I capitulated, kind of) 2 Tbsp. salsa 1/2 ounce shredded cheddar cheese That's…

I'm a Christian and here's what I would do: 1. Eat something before you go, but leave a little room just in case they actually do have food that doesn't have fish in it. You might get there and discover their menu has stuff you can eat. If so, you can order something and all is well. 2. I'd be dying of curiosity to see…

Va-va-va-Voom!! What a knockout! Congratulations.

You're doing great! I like your idea of breaking your weight loss into smaller chunks.

Nope cholesterol levels are healthy. I just choose not to take the extra calories that come with the yolk. I'd rather allocate them elsewhere. If it will make everybody feel better I MAY toss in one yolk per every four egg whites. Will y'all shut up about yolks now?!
-
Jalapeno stew sounds an awful lot like salsa. Your post just gave me and idea--Canadian Bacon. And I need more than 1 egg for breakfast. That's why I eat 4 egg whites.
-
OK, I should have said, "and I'd like to keep it to under 200 calories". Thank you all you wisenheimers that put yolks in your egg whites. That never would have occurred to me. BTW, from this point forward no one else needs to chime in with yolks. I am looking for a total calorie breakfast of under 300 calories (including…

Thatta way to go! Wow, you can really see it in your face. So you're under 200 lbs. by now, right?
-
Looking great! Good job! I will second this statement: If I can do it, SO CAN YOU!! :)
-
Just started doing this recently. 4 egg whites, scrambled, with 2 tablespoons salsa 6 oz. orange juice (or apple juice) 151 calories, plus keeps me full until lunch.
-
Wow, way to get it done! Congratulations!

You did great! We have similar approaches to weight loss. Be meticulous about your record keeping and you can splurge on stuff like ice cream with some regularity. I'm also trying to get to Onederland, the last few pounds are tough, though.

Way to persevere and get the job done! I know it's a cliche sometimes, but you really look like a different person, and 10 years younger. Nice work.
-
Way to go! Nicely done. You look a lot younger.
-
Way to go!! You're going to need a smaller sportcoat! Great job.
-
Great job! These pics keep me motivated. Thanks for posting. Your before picture is about what my stomach looked like when I started MFP the Monday after the Super Bowl.
-
Nicely done! Seeing success stories like this keeps me going. Thanks.

Congratulations! Amazing testimony that sticking to it will get the job done. Way to hang in there with all the stresses on your life. I saw this in your profile: "[MFP] has shown me so far that losing weight is a scientific certainty if you follow a logical process. " Exactly right. It's simple: Energy in and energy out.…
