    4 egg whites, and 2 tablespoons of diced green chilies, along with 1/8 cup of fat free cheddar cheese.

    118 calories
    4g carbs
    0g fat
    23g protein

    This is my favorite way to eat my egg whites.

    This is the one he's gonna choose. I just know it.

    1) comes from a girl
    2) lots of veggies (mine has more though 1/4 cup)
    3) not a single demonic yolk
    4) I'm not even sure he can handle chile
    5) comes from a girl
    6) cheese. people who are afraid of yolks are notorious for loving cheese and think fat free kind is a reasonable sub.
    7) it has PRECISELY the number of egg whites he requests
    8) comes from a girl


    Depending on how you want your macros to come out, fat free is a reasonable sub.

    here is a good one if you want something that feels more sweet :


    Ingredients:
    3 eggs (1 egg + 2 egg whites)
    1 medium apple
    1/4 tsp cinnamon

    Directions:
    Cut apple into small pieces and then add to a food processor along with the egg, egg whites, and cinnamon; blend until smooth.
    Preheat a skillet (medium-low heat), spray with non-stick spray, and pour in half of the batter while shaping it into a pancake with a spoon.
    Heat pancake until partially cooked and flip. (Be sure to use medium-low heat; pancake is pretty fragile, so you don’t want it to burn and stick to the pan.)
    Once the pancake is cooked through, remove from heat and add your favorite toppings.

    I usually put leftover veggies (asparagus, broccoli), onions, bell peppers, or tomatoes in my egg whites. Sometimes pepperjack cheese!

    After having read these posts, I wonder why you would not consider an egg yolk to add to your 4 egg whites. There are a lot of benefits to egg yolks including their content of B Complex, the benefit to your vision, not to mention your happiness. I see people adding cottage cheese, ham, cheese, and bacon which raises sodium levels and cholesterol levels in some cases. Sometimes, it is better to eat what the body can process naturally and vary the foods you eat daily so you do not get bored. .

    I'm not sure what the problem is with egg yolks either other than the cholesterol and fat (especially if you have problems with that already), but he only asked about egg whites. I know when I need a meal or snack full of protein but void the saturated fat is when I choose my egg whites.

    Yes, and they're still touting that saturated fat causes heart disease.

    There is also the theory that cholesterol is a symptom not a cause, i.e. elevated cholesterol is attempting to protect the body and is actually an indicator of other problems, not the cause of it. In other words, saying that cholesterol causes heart disease is like saying my fat pants are causing me to be overweight or my band-aid caused my injury.

    We could match link for link and thats the point. There are numerous studies saying they are bad for you and numerous saying they are not. They all seem to agree that if you are in fine health you still should only eat one yolk a day and almost no other cholesterol. You can get all the benefits from yolks elsewhere with out worrying about cholesterol so why bother with it?

    Nope cholesterol levels are healthy. I just choose not to take the extra calories that come with the yolk. I'd rather allocate them elsewhere. If it will make everybody feel better I MAY toss in one yolk per every four egg whites. Will y'all shut up about yolks now?!

    To the OP I eat one whole egg with egg whites added almost every morning. Usually add either mushrooms and onions, a dash of cajun seasoning, some Texas Pete, spinach and tomatoes, soy sauce and veggies, or steak sauce and mushrooms.

    I've discovered the advantages of eating egg whites. I use 4 egg whites and I've been putting in salsa (total calories = 72). I'm getting kind of burned out on salsa so I've gone to a half-ounce of shredded cheese (total calories = 123). What do you put in your egg whites?

    I usually just keep the yolk in mine, I don't add anything else.

    Exactly! It's no joke! Eat the yolk! Also the yolks contain that fats we need to fully absorb the protein in the whites. They go hand-in-hand. Yolks also contain high quality protein and essential vitamins and nutrients. The yolk also contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which help preserve good eyesight and prevent vision loss.

    Skipping the yolk is just skipping out on good nutrients. (But to each their own :smokin: )

    i have 5 tbsp egg whites with red peppers and mushrooms, sometimes i will toss in some grated cheese. I also have 1 serving of oatmeal, too, though to fill me up more.

    I read this article and didn't see anything about fat free cheese that would've been scary. I seen where it's talking about raw and pastureized cheese and the benefits, but I never said full fat cheese was bad at all. I only use the fat free when I want it to fit in my macros, and as long as I'm melting it, it works..
