I take Citrucel. Zero intestinal distress and works like a charm.

Depends on the sleeping pill, but many cause appetitite increase or make a person feel less energetic the day after, hence they move around less (and burn less calories) or eat more because they feel hungrier, without realizing they are over-eating. Over time, these calories add up to weight gain.

I love mine. Been using it for the past two years off and on.

If you are not losing as quickly as you think you should be, your math is off somewhere, and you are eating more than you think you are. However, as you are losing weight, congrats! Calorie counting is for losing weight, exercise is for health and a good end result. Hope that makes sense.

That was all water weight, my friend. Just an FYI...

Maybe ask Freely The Banana Girl? http://thebananagirl.com/

My body shape doesn't change when I lose weight either, I just get smaller all over. It just depends on how/where your body stores fat. I don't see a shape change until I lose too much weight.

This is a common phenomenon that has been noticed when athletes carbo load before a race. They actually drop weight the next day, which is desirable to be lighter on race day. The science behind it is murky, and it doesn't work for everyone. But as others have pointed out, weight loss is not liner, and the calories still…

Thanks for jogging my memory! Actually, potassium levels are linked to blood pressure issues. Most people do not get nearly the recommended amounts, and low potassium levels are associated with hypertension. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25565204

You don't need a multivitamin, you need a varied diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I am glad you are working with a nutritionist and you sound very motivated! A headache is not surprising- if you drank lots of sodas and are giving them up, it could be the caffeine withdrawal. Any prepackaged foods will have a…

Hi! Wonderful first post! Now I wonder where you intended it to end up.... Heehee.

You were tested and the result was low iron? Was a supplement recommended? Once iron stores have been depleted to the point of a low hemoglobin result, it is going to take some time with supplementation, for you to feel better. But you do need to supplement, as directed.

A lot of good advice above. Also, food and exercise tracking is a matter of trial and error. It's extremely difficult to be 100% accurate with either, so I would be surprised if you've got it down pat after only 2 days.

60% max to burn the most fat is bunk. There is no such thing as a 'fat burning heart rate zone'. You will either incur a deficit or not, it doesn't really matter how you get there.

Less chocolate? Did you stop drinking coffee or drinking sodas? Headaches make me think of caffeine withdrawal, but you haven't really posted enough information for even this guess.

Bingo!! So this. I just referenced the same study 5 minutes ago. ;)

This has to be a joke. You are in no way prepared to run 26.2 miles.

You might want to visit the doctor. Feeling cold all the time could be a result of low lean mass or possibly a thyroid disorder. I think you might need a doctor to evaluate whether or not you might have a body dysmorphic disorder or perhaps an eating disorder as well.

In way late on this, but please don't think that taking a multivitamin is equivalent to eating fruits and vegetables (not that you think that, but a lot of people do). A multivitamin is usually only necessary if you get fewer than 1600 calories in a day and/or exclude food groups. The vitamins and minerals in whole foods…

Good to know Espressocycle. I think... :)

I wouldn't do it. It could have all SORTS of adulterants since it is not human food it is not subject to purity regulations.

Sometimes a drug has the side effect of making us feel hungrier. Some of us tend to eat more when we feel less depressed. There are likely many reasons drugs of all kinds may contribute to an energy imbalance. Antihistamines are a big offender, believe it or not. Trial and error along with diligent food logging are really…

You needed more qualifiers, like "once you've hit your micro and macro needs, treats are just fine as long as you don't overshoot your calorie needs." That is a far cry from 'everything in moderation'.

What is this witchcraftery of which you speak? (Nice pic of your familiar btw!)

Have you considered that you might be suffering from postpartum depression? You mentioned since the birth of your baby you have especially struggled. When my depression rears its ugly head I tend to comfort eat. A visit to the doctor might be a good place to start. {{{hugs}}}

I disagree. While a medical diagnosis would be nice, it is not essential. If one feels better not eating gluten, especially if there is a familial history of celiac, I will not scoff. The medical consequences of eating gluten for someone with celiac are far too dire to chance.

Only if you eat these things in place of nutritionally rich foods. And go over your calorie needs (of course).

Almonds. I eat 10 or so a couple of times a day along with hot peppermint tea. Almonds are a natural appetite suppressant and packed full of good things for you. :) http://www.nature.com/ejcn/journal/v67/n11/full/ejcn2013184a.html#close
