You two are awesome!

I just looked at your diary...are you exercising at all? That will definitely help.

You need to eat MORE than 1200 cals! You body is probably trying to store what it can after the initial shock of less intake and weight loss. Also, don't forget muscle weighs more than fat. Get out that measuring tape, you may be losing inches, not pounds.

Bump.

Bump!

Have you changed your goals in MFP to "maintain"? If not, your calorie count will still be for losing.

Let's do it! Last weekend for me was terrible! I went to the camp I work at during the summer and the food there is so yummy, yet so unhealthy. I watched my portions, but it was still crazy how much junk was in that food! Although I've had two cups of coffee today, I am going to eat well and make a good gym trip!

After searching around online, I have found totals between 400 and 600 calories burned a day breastfeeding. You should probably factor this in. One website said you should eat 1800 calories a day to make up for this! Also, any stress from raising baby may be a factor! Try to find ways to relax, this will help to stop your…

That very well may be the case. Also, maybe your body wants more than 1200 calories a day? Everyone's body is different, and if your body needs more than 1200 calories a day to be happy and healthy, then it may be holding on to every last calorie it can get. What is your daily allowance from MFP? You should eat ALL of your…

i know! I get so tired of seeing people over and over either asking about it or other people telling them NOT to eat the calories back!

Honey, just keep going! Even if that dvd doesn't feel like a workout, at least you're moving! Do you have PT you're supposed to be doing for your tendonitis? If not, then you should look some up! The brilliant thing about working out is that it will help with that as long as you do it right! I used to have bad ankles, but…

Gaining muscle is good! It burns lots of fat and enables you to basically live a better life. And you are not eating near enough calories! It is very likely your metabolism is moving super slowly. eat right and the weight will begin to go!

Some people have dramatic weight loss at first because of water weight they were holding. Maybe you just don't have a lot of water weight? Or maybe you haven't committed as much as you should to a healthy diet and exercise plan? Or maybe you're like me and it just takes time :)

Hot tea is a good "filler." No calories (if you don't add stuff!) and tastier than water! If you make your food diary public, people could look at it and make suggestions! If you're eating a few big calorie items, that would explain it. If you are eating a bunch of small calorie foods during the day, then you probably…

Let's do it! Last semester I spent a lot of money on fast food going to and from work! This semester, I want to save my money and my waistline!
-
Keep it up!

I've been wondering the same! I do some strength on Wii, so I just made a wii exercise and log what it tells me, haha.

I believe it was in my health Psy class, but one of my professors stated that little to moderate alcohol consumption is better for your overall health than none at all. But definitely go with the lower cal stuff!
-
We can do it girl!

Thanks for all the good responses! Once I get all my blood work back from my last doctor trip, I think I'm going to visit a dietician and see what they say. A great part of college is all the free health support!
-
We're only supposed to get 3-6, which is pretty standard, but it is FRIGID and very windy! i got up, got ready, rode the bus, walked to my class room and found a note that class was canceled. So then I went on an apartment hunt, ate lunch and took a nap! Now I think I'm going to do my hw and then spend the rest of the…

You are amazing! I don't think anyone's excuses can compare to that!

I'm sorry, dear! That's tough! I'm fortunate enough to be in college, so I have a free gym, but I used to never go because my friends wouldn't go with me. I just had to make it a priority. I always listen to this church's podcast that I love, so that's my motivation to go :) Maybe you can find some fun youtube videos to do…

I think you're going to enjoy it here :) So many great people and ideas around here! And it's a lot easier to talk to everyone here about weight and stuff than it can be to people you know!
-
A lot of research shows that your weight fluctuates between 2 and 5 pounds in a single day. And don't forget, as you're working out, you're building muscle which weighs more than fat! The scale is just a number :) Judge on how you look and feel and how well you're sticking to your exercise and eating plans!
-
You go girl. Keep hanging in there. You definitely came to the right place for support!
-
Too bad! It looked so yummy! They have sugar in everything...that's why you crave it. Your body is addicted to the sugar. Sneaky sneaky, McDonalds...
-
I think you should include both. you don't necessarily have to go pump serious iron, but definitely include strength training. It will give more support to your changing body and help improve your shape.

Maybe you should make a lunch date with yourself every day! Decide to have a big lunch or breakfast, and take your time eating it. It's a good way to have some personal time, too!
