  • Hi. I am in the same boat as you. As of now, my clothing is much more loose but it takes me a long time to go down a size. Even when I was a teen and lost a good amount of weight (I believe I weighed in at about 150) I was still a size 14. Mind, you this was in teen sizes, so maybe it was more of the equivalent to a 10 in…
  • I have tried and failed miserably. It made me feel really bloated and it made my stomach make real loud noises. Plus I like real food and I like variety in my life. Although i will tell you that before i started mfp i was never really a breakfast person. I now drink some carnation instant breakfast as my breakfast most…
  • Congrats on losing the 70 lbs. I think that is fantastic and I wish to be there one day, so you are an inspiration. As far as the friends go, it all depends on the situation really. I have lost lots of weight in the past and haven't had many jealousy/friends abandoning me problems. I think the key is to let them do them…
  • I have the same problem. I have a full time job. I walk to and from work which is a total of 40 mins of walking but I want to incorporate some weight exercises and I want to do it from the comfort of my own home because A) like I said, I have a full time job, amongst other things, and not a lot of time and B) I do not want…
  • Good luck in losing the chub rub. For the time being, I suggest wearing spanx (the ones that are like shorts) expecially in the summer. It makes it much easier to walk around.
  • Hi. I am currently aiming for 1,600 a day and, believe it or not, it seems that a l lot of people on here think even that is too low. However, that is customized to my height/activity level. Feel free to add me.
  • I think you look awesome!
  • Please do not comment unless you have read properly. I clearly stated that 1,200 cals is too little for me.
  • My thoughts exactly. Although 1,200 may be just a bit too little for me, 1,600 cals is more than filling and I can certainly see how it would differ for others (height, time spent working out, etc...). Truthfully though, I don't really understand why I see so many people on this site bashing others for eating 1,200 cals.…
  • I think you look absolutely fabulous! Knowing if you are "bikini ready" comes from within. You have the confidence to put it on and take pics and feel confident wearing it, I say yes!
  • You know sometimes it's best for people to just say you look good and leave it at that or just keep their damn mouths shut.
  • You know, one of your other posts inspired me today to try on my old swimsuits for the summer while I was reorganizing my closets for summer and came across them. I really should take pictures and post them on here. Anyway, I tried them on and although I haven't been on here long and although they weren't too big on me…
  • I try not to go over my sodium because I know too much is not good. However, I don't sweat the sugar because a lot of times it went over due to fruit and I am not diabetic. However, you can change your chart to not show the sugar or sodium and customize it to what you do want it to show.
  • You are really way too hard on yourself. If I had seen you at the pool (or anywhere else for that matter) I would never think to myself "oh look at that fat old lady" or whatever it is you are worried people will think and I would like to think that most people wouldn't think it either. Actually, the first thought that…
  • I have the same exact problem...a major sweet tooth. I find the best approach for me is not to deny myself of satisfying my sweet tooth just as long as it fits into my chart for the day and also to limit myself (one serving only). I know it sucks because, with a sweet tooth, once you eat one portion you can just keep on…
  • My husband and I have been trying for not very long right now but I have been losing hope already cuz i always thought it would happen fast for me, but apparently it isn't. It is very hard i see everyone else having kids and already know that i will most likely have my period for this month too. But thanks for the post it…
  • Over 70 lbs Thomas! Keep up with that beast mode attitude!
  • Believe it or not, 2 weeks isn't so bad, as long as you are getting back on the wagon. I've fallen off before, but the important thing is to get back on. At least it was only 3 lbs and not everything gained back.
  • I'm on MFP for the opposite reason, but I am inspired by your story and I think you are looking great!
  • Glad to see how many men and women find the thigh gap unattractive. I have always had one as far back as i can remember. I remember losing lots of weight in the past and wishing I had a thigh gap but that was ages ago and I have since come to accept that. Goes to show that not everything that magazines put out there is…
  • Thanks for posting that. I just took mine out too for the same reason. I do have the downfall of having a sweet tooth, but I have been really good lately and all i do is eat some fruit and then my sugar is over
  • Before I gained all the weight, going to the gym early in the morning would be my thing. My life was also much different back then. Now I am married and have a job that I have be at by 6am (which means waking up at around 4:30am). The good part about my schedule at work is i get out early too (2pm) so that would probably…
