Hi, That's what I understood too, but I am not loosing any weight. I have been at my current weight for the last 6 months. I have to change something, but don't know what. Thanks

My son (who was 4 at the time) said to me one night as we were watching The Biggest Looser, "daddy you could be on that show". It made me very sad, so the next day i started walking a little more cutting back on my food intake and I haven't looked back. Thankfully neither has he. Now 6 soon to be 7, he now loves running,…

Guys, Thank you so much for all your feedback. its quite inspiring, apart from running in sheep poo!! ;-) I may well go onto the forum as I am a little wary of re-inflaming my Achilles. So what I’m taking from this so far is yes it could be beneficial, i should work on my core and leg strength, and take it reallllly slow…
-
Thank you. The more I read the more I think I should give it a go. As I said previously, I know I need to work hard on my core and strengthen the muscles around me knees, but the idea of running and actually feeling the terrain rather than bouncing over it is becoming more and more appealing.
-
Agreed. Working ont he muscles around the areas in pain may well help. I definately need to keep working on my core and shed a few more lbs! I suppose Im just hoping for an external element that may help provide rapid results while I work on the physical stuff.

First off congratulations on finishing your c25k. It is a fantastic tool and I will never forget how hard my first run was 18 months ago. My advice to you is: 1) Find your nearest parkrun and go join in. There are many many like minded peole out there who go along to their local organised free run every Saturday morning.…

Hi first of all good luck on your first half! I've only done 1 before and it was a disaster as i hadn't prepared correctly. It sounds like you have trained hard and have an excellent plan in place, so i expect you will be fine :-) I have 3 halfs this spring so am working hard on making sure everything is in place. I think…

Some advice I was given when I asked a similar question: REST! Use a foam roller for loosing up your IT band Ice after exercise Are you wearing the appropriate shoes? Go get your feet scanned to ensure youa re wearing the most appropriate shoes for your feet. A combination of each of these things helped me on my way again.…

Hi. Yes I had a colonoscopy recently ( not pleasant) so the diagnosis is based on that, and of course my current symptoms. What you say about nuts could be the key. Last week I bought a pack of brazil nuts and pecans and put them on my work desk to "snack on". Since then I have had problems.... Out go the nuts! Thank you…

This is happening to me this week. I've taken a rest week having not lost anything for a while, and all of a sudden, 3lb down! I can't explain it, but I'm certainly quite happy it has happened.

Was there any sharp pain or is this post activity pain? If not its probably something as simple as fatigue( I think). You need a hot bath followed by ice and then a massage (gentle with oils but over the coming days increase the pressure), drink plenty of water and keep trying to move your arms ( IMHO) Good luck Mick.

Waow! Well done you! I also used C25K as my running ain, having been a couch potato for a decade. It is a great aid to start you off , but you have to have the heart and dedication to follow it through. You have both. well done!!!

Well done and a great time too!!
