I'm 5'4", started at 245, I'm down to 149 and I hope to get down to 135 or less depending on how I feel when I get there. I would be happy to have another friend and offer support if you care to add me.

I base mine off of my weight and calorie needs. 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass, .45 grams of fat per pound of body weight and the rest go to carbs. I figured all of this out on IIFYM.com and adjusted my percentages on mfp to get as close as I could to those numbers.

I'm going on 4 years. I've fallen off the wagon a few times, but overall I've almost lost 100 lbs, a goal that seemed impossible when I started. Now the smaller goals seem just as hard, but I know it will happen eventually, just like that almost 100 lbs.

Congrats on all of your hard work and exceeding your goals!

Prelogging helps for sure, also smoothies with protein powder.

Thank you, I have heard of and looked into stronglifts and, actually my husband is doing that, but I wasn't aware of the all pro workout. It looks good and different, which is appealing to me. Do you have any idea how long it takes to do the workout? Thanks, by the way, for everything you and SS do with this group, I have…

Stretching, including yoga stretches. I do intervals after every lifting session (in the way he lays out in the book) and I find that when I do that followed by 10 minutes or so of stretching, I am less sore the next day. I also find that going into the sauna and taking a cold shower afterward helps if your gym has them.

Thank you, this is great!

Wow, you look uh-may-zing!

You look like a different person, great work! (I'm finally less than 10 lbs away from my 100 lb loss goal, so thanks for some extra inspiration!)
-
Amazing! You have obviously put in a lot of hard work to come this far, keep it up!!! You are an inspiration.

^yes! I've lost almost 11" since joining MFP and starting new rules of lifting for women 2 months ago. Scale hasn't changed much ( I honestly couldn't tell you where I'm at because my scale resides in my closet :drinker: ), but I've lost one whole pants size and I feel way better about wearing tank tops  For me,…

You are one kick *kitten* mofo! Way to go! :drinker: Also, thank you for sharing, it helps so much to hear other people talk about their accomplishments. I'm still waiting on that feeling of being successful and for those abs. I also admire your ability to rock your stretch marks, they look good on you and it says a lot…

I lost 9 inches on NORLFW stage 1! Not a single pound lost, but I now fit comfortably in a size 8. Not to mention I can deadlift my own body weight :D My scale went into the closet about halfway through stage 1, couldn't stand to look at the unchanging number and feel discourages when all of this awesomeness was happening…

I agree, there really isn't much you can do if he doesn't want to change, he's not going to. I think that you should keep doing what you are doing and take care of yourself. I understand the concern because my husband was basically in the same place, although he finally came around when I started lifting and decided he…

I log it so that I know what I did that day in relation to how hungry I was or tired/sore the next day etc., but I only put it in for 1 calorie, which is what I do with all my exercise anyways.

lol I did cigarette surveys over the phone, you know calling people at dinner time and asking them how much they enjoy smoking...I also did credit card applications and credit card surveys.
-
I was having the same problem, so my scale now resides in the closet. I go by the numbers on the tape measure and the bar!
-
Pretty much this, and I generally try to pull it right down to my chest (but I usually don't make it for that last rep)
-
You rock! and I'm still a newbie at lifting, but not for long

Amazing! Thanks for sharing

Girl Talk is great working out music! Also, Diesel Boy and Pendulum! A specific song on the list now would be Dyskrasia by Kidney Thieves

Who wears pairs of sports bras? I usually just stick to one... and I was just under the impression that I was being stared at for being the only girl in the free weights section of the gym lifting anything more than a 10lb dumbbell.
