yes, your BMR is 1290. MFP only gives you an est. When I found out I just manually changed it.

If you doing weight training, your muscles will be heavier than the fat. Maybe you're not seeing a weight lose caz you gaining muscles.

i just got the Polar FT4. so far its been working great for me, plus it has a chest trap to get a reading off your heart, not your movement. Its around $90 but its so worth it.

I know the feeling, I just started so my belly is not use to good food. lol but to help me through out the day, I just eat fruits every two hours. I had breakfast @ 7:30, then i had a fruit at 9:30 then I will have another fruit @ 11:30, then my lunch is at 1:30. That help me, I hope it works for you.

I bought one from Wal-Mart, & I had the same problem with it, then I realized that the carpet in my house makes a difference on what the scale says.
