Going out once a week together sounds fabulous! Go for it. Not excessive. The person insinuating as much is probably jealous!

You, sir, Rock. That is all.

I love this site. Just remember, this is "self-reported" heights and weights, so take with grain of salt. http://www.mybodygallery.com/search.html?height=5+10&weight=130&pant=any&shirt=any&zphoto=Large&new=1

I think it really, really depends! I am 5'7" and have been steady at 160 for six months now, and while I still have some more weight to shed to really be no longer overweight, I have a very solid bodytype. I think I would not look good at 130. However, I have some friends and co-workers who are just so willowy. At 5'10"…

It's not a matter of "IF", but "WHEN"... Carpe diem! :drinker:

If you cook your egg in the microwave instead of a pan, not only is cleanup a breeze, but it comes out with a texture like quiche! My current favorite is to make my own bean-corn-salsa by mixing up, you guessed it, a tub of salsa with a can of black beans and some corn. Put a helping of that in a bowl with egg and cheese.…

Move Over Julia Roberts and Kyra Sedgwick! There's a new smile in town!

Are you two for real? useless fact: I am a skeptic. My family has sequential birthdays (Feb 18, Mar 19, Apr 20, May 21)

I surely hope OP is being sarcastic, cuz she is looking might fine. "Man arms"? ppfftttt.

1985 Olan Mills family portait. (I cropped out my family to protect their innocence! hahaha) This is the oldest picture I have scanned in, or I would go farther back. I was 13; such an awkward age! Lordy, lordy.....

What a great thread! I am really enjoying reading about everyone's adventures. Running with lions, running cross-Countries (literally), running when you never could before, placing in your age group because you are the only one in your age group .... Great stuff! I ran cross country in high school (we're talking…

I am none of these and I have three tattoos, but I love the saying anyway! LOL

You look so cute and COMFORTABLE! OOOOOOhhhhh! Renaissance theme! Nice. Here's me in my dress from ROSS! (Seriously!) Valentine's Day 2007. We got married at the Sea Ranch Chapel on the Mendocino Coast. I was 6 months along with our daughter. The empire waist on the dress disguised it fairly well. Best little shotgun…

There are so many temptations and "special" foods starting with Halloween candy, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas (Hanukkah/Solstice/Festivus) parties, New Year's . . . . I am definitely going to partake, but I feel like I must be MINDFUL and MODERATE. I made it through The Holidays last year without gaining (and even shed…

I've made a similar observation! For me, I am specifically trying to think of ways to "celebrate" or "reward" that do NOT involve food since using food for emotional reasons instead of fuel is what got me in trouble in the first place. I've been holding stable at 75 lost for several months now, I've run my first and second…

WHOOP!

DOUBLE DITTO! I think it's time for some new "friends" ... .. .

I second the suggestion for the Wal-Mart "Starter" brand. Also, I have had great luck at Fred Meyer (in the US northwest) and JC PENNEY!

Maybe your eardrum is frozen! haha. How do you feel once you thaw out?

:drinker: HAHA! I thought the same thing. I am forcing myself to read all three of them because a) I am stubborn about finishing a series even if I don't like it, and b) I work in a Library so I feel a sense of responsibility to actually read the popular books. Then I can make true recommendations to patrons and not just…

THAT'S the way to do it! No shortcuts, just taking it one day, one choice, at a time ... "If you bite it, write it!"

WAY TO GOOOOOOOOO!! Keep up the good work! I can never figure out how to "do" opaque tights, but you are ROCKIN'!

I do not like Cucumber (though I love kosher dill pickles!) Won't eat Beets. Have to agree with the following folks too: I rather like beans, but your description that the texture is like sidewalk chalk left out in the rain is so evocative!

HEY! This board isn't too active, but it's not dead yet. Welcome! It's been a month since your post; I hope you are continuing to experience progress. See you around!

WOO-HOO! I did my first Half in May; on track for a second in October. I had the same issue the last couple of miles. I plan on eating more this time. In the first, I had gels at about miles 4, 7, 10. I think I'll increase that by at least one if not two more! Maybe miles 3, 6, 9, 11? It's all good!

WIN *wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*wiggle* Hot is in the eye of the beholder. I feel SO much better 75 pounds lighter and a heck of a lot fitter. So proud of completing my first half marathon in May; I'm doing a second in October!
-
YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! I ran 10 miles this morning too, in preparation for my *second* ever Half-Marathon on Oct 6. Keep it up! Ain't it such a GREAT feeling! WOOOOOT!
-
SERIOUSLY! Great job!

Way to go! I was wearing my wedding ring on a necklace because it was too small ... now I'm just about ready to wear it on a chain again because it is slipping off! Good work.
